  1. Adamczewski, as I have been saying for quite some time, is absolutely the most slept on prospect in the system. He has an insanely gifted bat. His defense is improved in 2025 (and it wasn't bad to begin with). AND, there is a myth around he can't play defense elsewhere. He's an absolute stud.
  2. Monasterio continues to play a very poor SS in the early going in Nashville. He has a throwing error tonight on a routine play (hard to overthrow EMJ) and he was just given a fielding error with one down here in the top of the 7th. These are routine plays. The problem is, nothing is easy for Mona right now.
  3. He gets the weak chopper to 3B. Wilken charges. Throws the short hop one hop. Adams adeptly scoops - really is a solid solid 1B over there (he's made a few really nice plays tonight). It'll be 6-2 Shuckers on to the bottom of the 8th.
  4. Costello then gives up a 2-1 count two down oppo line shot RBI single into LF. Restituyo short-hops the relay to Pratt who fails to corral it and the runner advances to 2B. It's 6-2. AND, no matter the score, that can't happen. Sloppy play. As I said: Costello is not sharp. A rare off outing.
  5. RHP Chase Costello is not as sharp as he typically is tonight. He's also getting squeezed on all the edges. He just conceded the first run of any Brewers affiliate here in the top of the 8th. An RBI one out triple into the RF corner past a diving Luke Adams at 1B. 6-1 Shuckers. He falls behind 3-1 to the next batter. Just not sharp. He induces the shallow RF pop out to EBJ for out 2. The runner stays.
  6. EMJ just ripped a no-doubter. Over to the dog area in RF. Towering crushed HR. 3rd RBI tonight. First HR as a Sound. 7-0 Sounds in the 6th. My goodness. He got into that one. 397 over the RF wall. That's a mammoth RF shot.
  7. Only thing we know is it is an ankle injury not thought to be serious.
  8. The No No at Quad Cities is over. RHP Aaron Rund concedes a one down single to shallow CF. Not the sharpest outing for Rund all in all. Estevez appears to be going to lefty Brian Fitzpatrick. T-Rats still lead 4-0. One down. Bottom of the 7th.
  9. Rund escapes unscathed and with no more base traffic of any kind. We head to the 7th T-Rats lead 4-0.
  10. Rund has come on in relief of Hardin and he walks the first batter on four pitches. He has worked his way back to a 3-2 count facing batter 2. He just misses (or doesn't get the call) on an upper corner two-seamer. Two men on. Nobody down. T-Rats lead 4-0. Mound visit.
  11. EMJ works a 2-2 count for a bloooooop parachute no-man's-land double scoring Monasterio and Durbin. That's a 4-0 Sounds lead. Let's GO! Love that type of absolute seeing-eye luck. Bahahahaha.
  12. 'Big Mammoth' (RHP Nick Merkel) works around two on and no out and gets out clean. Epic. 6-0 Shuckers. Really nice play on an inning-ending weak dribbler to SS where Pratt worked fast to grab the speedy former Brewer Cargo Rodriguez.
  13. HEDBERT!!!! 107 mph nuke into the Mississippi. 4-0 and two two out insurance runs baby!!!
  14. Guilarte is playing solid D at 2B. He just grabbed his second poke with a two out shallow liner to CF. Love to see it. Well done, Daniel.
  15. Bottom of the 5th. RHP Tyson Hardin is protecting a 2-0 lead. He rips a gorgeous full count dipping slider for his 4th K. He has a single base-runner of the free pass variety. You know what that means. I am not going to touch anything more. AND we get an Areinamo-to-Burke web gem out for out 2. Guilarte tracks down a shallow bloop to get out 3. Still working with a walk folks. He will likely come out for the 6th. Pitch count very manageable.
  16. Zavi Warren two-run bomb over the RF wall and maybe out of the stadium at 365'. That looked massive. It was a 97 mph poke. LOL. Whatever. That was awesome. Three long balls. Three separate batters. Three different pitchers. 6-0 Shuckers.
  17. C Matt Wood looks fantastic tonight. Just poked an oppo single down the LF line. Really nice piece of hitting. Managing a great game. Had a ripped double earlier. Hard to see a better version.
  18. Tobias Myers has a successful healthy 45 pitch 3/13 scoreless rehab outing. Positive step. He didn't fully unleash but he was touching 94 mph and looked healthy. You love to see it. LHP Tyler Jay will likely come on in relief.
  19. That was a 102 mph poke by Pratt just over the Right CF porch. Lofty launch on that bugger.
  20. Cooper Pratt oppo Solo Jack baby! Let's GO! 4-0 Shuckers.
  21. Sounds match the Redbirds and strand two on with nobody out in their own half of the third frame. Yuck. EMJ force out to 2B nabbed Monasterio at Home leaving on contact. Alfaro struck out. Herron grounded out to 2B. 2-0 Sounds on to the 4th.
  22. RHP Tyson Hardin year 2 is an absolute problem. Jeeeeze this is an entirely new pitcher and it is glorious.
  23. Tobes saw two walks to open his frame in the third. Double steal barely succeeds at 3B (bang-bang - just safe). He gets the shallow fly out to RF. Runners stay. He gets the shallow pop out to 2B. Line out to RF. Zero runs. THis night of Brewers Minor League baseball keeps on giving. With Mendoza clearly running out of gas approaching 80 pitches in the fourth he had two runners aboard and one down. Jheremy Vargas just charged and scooped a line drive single into shallow LF and threw the runner out at home with a really nice piece of work by Darrien Miller to go up line and corral the ball and reach back and tag the runner at home. Beautiful assist.
  24. Eduardo Garcia legitimately just had the best AB I've seen him have as a Brewer. A 9 pitch 3-2 bloop 2-out RBI single. Glorious. Laid off a 2-2 inside low slider. Fouled one off. Blooped one in there. Just so great to see.
