    Don't care about the takes any more - nationally, locally, or here on our board. I don't mean this flippantly, whatsoever. What I can say quite confidently is the Packers personnel and scouting department did their best to marry their board and their picks within the overarching back drop of the greater conversation about this Packers football team and the evolution of the roster in concert with the coaching staff. This haul - most definitely including a fairly impressive UDFA class- is where we find ourselves heading into rookie minicamp. None of us know anything about these players until they play a pre-season snap. And, even then we don't reallllllly know until they earn actual regular season snaps. All I want from the draft is more meaningful depth and some early snaps earned. I remember just last season how confounded 'experts' were by the Evan Williams pick. I'll let the chips fall where they may. The draft week was incredible. I spent the majority of Days 2 and 3 at the Noble Roots Micro Brewery sipping delicious adult beverages and convening with the awesome Packers fans in that establishment. As I said earlier, Night 1 was unbelievable. I am going to feed off that absolute VIBE for years. I'll trust Steve Smith and Todd McShay on that Rd 1 pick - Golden was their favorite WR in this entire class. Why not stay dream-filled and positive and root for the best? I'm going to do my best to rest in that question and unknown answer for now.

    This is going to come across as overly negative, which it is 😅, but I'm not complaining. I'm at peace with the state of the Bucks because Khash, Giannis, and Jrue willed us to an improbable Championship. The Bucks traded for 'The Kooz' in the manner they did (laughable in retrospect) and are paying three head coaches - two of which are unemployed - with the most cashola going to Doctor 'Glenn' Rivers. This demise certainly isn't rocket science. The Bucks organization truly doesn't deserve Giannis any longer. And why not extend the 'Yes' Man GM while we're at it while the meddling ownership gets their ongoing free pass for consistently making bafflingly poor decisions. They are the very definition of an organization taking one step forward to take two steps back. They have no clear vision. They consistently shoot themselves in the foot. Their current HC would struggle to make glaringly obvious line up adjustments in a YMCA League. They just aren't relevant. I think it's fair to say they would need 7 games vs the Pistons and the Magic - with or without Dame who despite his truly unfortunate injury has never been the player we all wanted him to be as a Buck. I don't begrudge the Dame move whatsoever. Unfortunately, that bold maneuver just didn't work out. Anywho, hopefully 'The Doctor' gets bold Game 5 and has Prince pick up Hali full court from the jump! 🫠

    The strange and ongoing organizational bullpen 'meltdowns' (overstating - struggles?) is very odd. Is it me or does it seem to be happening across every level of Brewers baseball? RHP Dikember Sanchez's season to date has me all sorts of sad face. It seems like every week across every level (most definitely including the parent club) there is one or two blown outings by multiple arms. Maybe it is exacerbated by the inconsistencies within the Brewers roster at large? Is it just me?

    I can not begin to describe how amazing it was to be in that crowd for the Golden pick. I don't care about the takes. I do not care if you like the pick or don't like the pick. That moment when Mark played up the crowd was pinnacle. That moment alone made the journey worth it. Unreal energy and excitement. I will take that with me into the grave.

    As someone who literally shared Yoho was an MLB arm after his first outing as a High-A Timber Rattler... As someone who wondered aloud: "What are we doing? These High-A hitters have literally zero chance against this filth!" I am just litttttttle bit excite. A smidge.

    Because there are so many Mudcats to talk about, I'm going to be sure to give INF/OF Luiyin Alastre some shine. With Nadal out for an unknown amount of time, he has stepped in to a slight tick up in playing time. He looks very smooth out there. Natural. I like his swing - easy, nothing forced, consistent and good bat-to-ball approach. He hits oppo or where they pitch it with alacrity. He has elevated some deep balls for XBH's and the baseball gods know how I love a switch-hitter. He just comes off like a very smooth athlete. This is our first prolonged viewing and I very much see why he was called up to start the year. It's hard not to feel validated by the paper crush I had when he was a DSL'er some years back.

    Vire comes aboard and torches 95 mph on the outer black? Sits 95-96 mph in his debut? With that lankiness and that wily delivery you can just see the projection and dream on those types of raw tools. Saw some pitches run arm side. Saw some breakers swoop a bit in and beyond the zone. BUT, man, to come back and K two straight after two BB and a HBP (off an elbow guard up and in) to load em up shows real grit. Very very impressive debut from his first action in Low-A.

    BT Dubs. For all of you game watchers. Be sure to watch LHP Bjorn Johnson's second strikeout of the 7th. He nearly gives up a long ball over the LF wall for strike one in a 2-0 count - a high and in heater gets torched 107 mph and 398 feet but it is pulled into foul territory beyond the LF foul pole. BUT, holy heck he comes back and absolutely dominates the rest of the AB with real flare. He goes breaking ball down and in for a filthy swinging second strike. He comes back with an absolutely disgusting change-up (?) for a check swing sword strike 3. My word. That last two pitch combination was truly filthy. Strike 2 begins at 2:51:04, fwiw.
