  1. Back to the heater. 95 to 96.61 mph and he is ahead 1-2. This is the way!
  2. He hangs a dead center slider on the very next pitch and gets away with it. Man, those were two really poor pitches in this scenario. Thank the heavens he got away with that. Whewwww. Flies out to LF. Runners on 1st and 2nd. Two down.
  3. Yeager hangs a dead center curve. Casual line drive poke to RF. Men on 1st and 2nd. That was a poor pitch. He got lucky that wasn't more damage. Yeeeesh.
  4. Pensacola and Mississippi have both lost tonight. Gotta win this, men! Gotta pull this out! Let's GO!
  5. The only 1 run win the Shuckers have experienced in 8 such opportunities in 2024 was the second game of their season. It was a Freddy Zamora solo jack if any of you recall. Time to make it a 2-7 mark Mr. Yeager. He gets the fly out to left CF and O'Rae easily grabs it. He falls behind 2-0 to the next batter but gets a slider across. Then gets a foul back on an outside heater. It's 2-2 now. One down. He misses well up and in at 95.05 mph for a full count. He misses low and can't get the chase on another low dipping slider in the dirt. That's two walks via that same miss. Tying runner is aboard with one down.
  6. This is what I'm talking about. Swing is crampe because it is high and inside. Has to drop the shoulder. Lead arm falls away. Just not a good swing decision. This is where he is at presently. He is forcing the issue and just not getting results. There's a time and a place to swing here - it isn't when you are ice cold at the dish.
  7. Wilken chases a heater tailing inside by meeting it front but drops the lead shoulder and casually flies out to LF. A repeat example of what I've seen this past month - lack of discipline in key counts and an inability to make a mark with that over-aggression.
  8. Miller walks and Wilken gets another opportunity to get a result. As we all know, results have been absent for the majority of Wilken's August. 0-2, 2 BB, 1 K tonight into this AB.
  9. O'Rae takes it full. O'Rae goes down looking at an identical heater as Warren. 96 mph - 1 mph less. Both just frozen after seeing sliders the pitch before. Rough look for O'Rae there as the sequence was the exact same.
  10. Warren leads off the 9th and goes down looking at a 97 mph dart on the outer black. He absolutely knew it. That's 3 K for Warren tonight.
  11. Gets ahead 1-2 on the next hitter. Jaeger is sitting 96 and touching 97. Trying to get chase on the 85-88 mph slider. He takes it full - misses a slider; fouled back a high heater; misses a heater outside. He gets the fly out to Scott in RF on a nice outside slider. Well-executed pitch. Forced a swing. Reached for contact. On to the 9th.
  12. EBJ gets eaten up by a tough hard hit one-hopper to deep SS. The DP not an option he gets the benefit of a bang-bang call at 1B for the 2nd out. Absolutely looked like that runner was safe by a good step. We'll take it!
  13. He walks the lead-off on a low slider. He gets ahead 1-2 to the next batter. Fouls a high inside heater back to the netting. Gets him swinging on a 97 mph heater at the top of the zone.
  14. Yeager is on in the 8th. His 39th appearance. He comes aboard firing 96 mph well high and outside. Falls behind 2-0.
  15. Hall K's swinging on an outside 93 mph heater. Murray lines out to 2B on the first pitch. On to the bottom of the 8th. 1-0 Shuckers.
  16. First pitch pseudo-liner up the middle with the infield in. Ahhhh, I forgot there was only one down. Makes more sense.
  17. EBJ just hit one to the LF warning track and the fence. Two out 8th inning triple. Just missed a HR. 0-0
  18. Good luck to the teams facing the Sounds current Pen. My goodness. Yoho, Miz, Ashby, Paredes, Peguero. That's a straight MLB Pen - and a good one - firing Triple-A zeroes.
  19. If the Sounds can pull this out, it would appear they will finally gain a game on Columbus. They could move to 4.0 GB with a Dub tonight. I will never give up the playoff chase with a resurgent RHP Mitch White! 😎
  20. BT Dubs: Ashby has 3 of the top 5 Triple-A pitch velos tonight - 98, 98, and 98.4. 💥
  21. Oh he is definitely back. Fifth straight utter dominant relief appearance. It is absolutely glorious. 2 more K's.
  22. Cargo opened the 4th with a free pass. Mejía followed with the Sounds first hit a two-run jack! 2-0 Nashville. Black followed with a three-bagger. Hicklen just executed the Sac Fly. 3-0 game. RHP Mitch White is back dealing for the 2nd time in three starts. Wild times!
  23. RHP Bryan Rivera has K'd 8 through 3 2/3 IP. There's a problem, however. He's given up 6 H, 5 BB, 1 Balk and 6 ER and has been pulled for RHP Brailin Rodriguez who proceeded to fire a WP during his first batter faced. Muddies trail 6-0.
  24. Another pull shot - which I have also been pointing you to. And, as I've said: it isn't if he has power projection. Anyone with an eye toward skillllz can see he has it all in that beautiful frame and easy violent swing. Where we 'should' be dreaming is: "What will happen when he takes his power stroke to all fields?" That is the end goal. THAT is the future work.
