  1. Corniel works around a Bitonti misplay at 1B to escape a one on two out scenario in the third. He gets the line drive hit right to Baez to end it. 1-0 and the Muddies are on the 4th. Meanwhile, pitch one in Biloxi.
  2. Ground rule opening dub from Capra. Arroyo's hot night continues with a line drive single into CF. Men on the corners. Nobody out. Meanwhile, in Lynchburg, Yophery rips a double dpast a diving 1B down the RF line and Yoshwar Garcia blows by Stanley's sttop sign and easily makes it home. AND Black just blasted a HR over the RF wall @wiguy94 Hell of a blast. That may have left the stadium? Golfed it on a low inside pitch and just ripped it. 3- run knock. 433' out to RF?! Yeah that's crushed.
  3. I don't think Henderson makes it past the third inning tonight. Heck, he may not make it out of the second. 50 pitches. 2 down. Just walked a guy. Down 3-1 to the next batter. Has zero control of his off-speed tonight but in very short stints. Gets the 3-1 pop out to shallow LF. He will get the third frame it would appear. BUT, given he's on a pitch limit in Triple-A I don't see this outing lasting much longer given what we've seen.
  4. I mean, I think it's fair to say Black's status as a whole is pretty concerning. Can't really find a position anywhere on an MLB diamond. His bat has to play. BUT, his bat hasn't played in his current MLB sample size and he hasn't really had a good year as a whole. Henderson follows the HR with a walk. As I said from pitch one: not sharp.
  5. And, in an 0-2 count, Henderson hit his spot but failed to get a high heater past the hitter. The lefty launched a line drive HR over the RF wall. 93 mph on the heater. Henderson is sitting 91-93 and only touching 94 mph. 3-2 game. Two down.
  6. Garcia K's looking (the Muddies 5th) on a center cut heater. Don't know what he's looking for there in a 2-2 count. On to the bottom of the 2nd.
  7. Hendo opens his 2nd with a K swinging on a low change-up.
  8. Guilarte K's on a really nice breaking curve. That's the Muddies 4th K. Two down. Runners still on the corners.
  9. Roller with his second consecutive K. He's looked completely overmatched in both. Not good AB's. On to the second half of the 2nd. Sounds lead 3-1. Meanwhile, in Lynchburg. Yoshwar just walked. Castillo just dropped a single into shallow right CF. men on the corners. One down. Top of 2nd. 0-0 game.
  10. Zamora is having a rough start to this one. The weak error in the first. Now a three pitch K. Looked at two pitches belt high in the zone. Swung and whiffed on an inside change-up about 6" inside.
  11. Fair assessment. It's almost as if trying to be any type of defender at any position is taking a toll.
  12. Wes Clarke first pitch rocket launch over the LF wall. BOMB. Hicklen. First pitch BOMB. Absolutely crushed a liner over that LF wall. That's his 20th long ball. 3-1 game. These balls were ripped.
  13. Corniel just hung a belt high inside hanger. That ball was crushed down the LF line and tailed foul by about 6" at the last second. Whewwwww. Two down. 0-0 bottom of the first. He gets the 1-2 fly out to Yoshwar in the left CF gap. On to the 2nd.
  14. In fairness, this is truly his first slump as a Brewer. What he does from here is more interesting for me personally.
  15. Henderson is already at 26 pitches. 2-2 count. Two down. Man on 2B. He gets the K looking on pitch 27. Sitting 93. Touching 94. Not sharp overall.
  16. He definitely has those AB's where the bat never leaves his shoulder. I still can't get a read on his offensive projection. At present, it's just really inconsistent.
  17. Mejía then throws a misfire into the base path as the runner takes 2B and the runner scores from 3B. UGLY inning defensively for these Sounds. Gotta get their heads in the game. 1-1 game.
  18. Zamora absolutely biffs a weak line drive one-hopper off his glove. Men on the corners. You never really know what you're going to get there. That's a really poor misplay. Henderson opens the next count with his best change-up of his night so far. Gorgeous string pull on an inside change-up.
  19. AND, they are just about to get underway at Lynchburg. Meanwhile, as to that lack of fine-tuned control, Henderson just threw a WP ball in the dirt that skipped about 9" before home plate. Man on 2nd base now.
  20. Henderson saw several foul balls and ultimately walked the Knights lead-off hitter from a full count. Man on 1st. Nobody down. Lacking fine-tuned control early. seems to be missing spots.
  21. I just realized the Packers 19-year streak of at least one UDFA making the roster is over as of today. That's something.
  22. Black struck out on three pitches. His rough return to Nashville continues.
  23. A Roller K looking. A Capra fly out to CF. AND Christian Arroyo just smashed a line drive atop the CF wall. Smack dab atop that yellow line. It's 1-0 Sounds.
  24. We are delayed in Lynchburg. Looks like there is some rain showers in the Lynchburg area but nothing severe and 'should' clear.
