  1. Watching C's Darrien Miller and Nick Kahle trying to throw runners out on the base paths in any fashion is an exercise in pain management. I know these young men work hard and have great attitudes but the ball does not lie. They do not have the arms to make a real difference. And, of course, you know how I feel about Miller's slow movement horizontally and his slow glove costing his pitchers numerous WP's this season.
  2. It is truly ALL the things. Catchers can't throw runners out. Hitters can't hit a lick. Bullpen suddenly blowing leads when they have them (it's rare over the past two weeks). Just playing losing baseball no matter how you skin this cat. I definitely feel you on this. AND, now we suddenly haven't seen Brock Wilken in either game? Is it a respite from his unreal August slump? We are truly back to that team that was 10 game under.
  3. Indeed. He is fine. He came aboard with the bases loaded. Two down. He did his job. This is intentional. Got the deep fly out to CF. The stated intent for his Triple-A work is short impactful outings.
  4. I know EBJ had changed his batting approach. I still absolutely do not like it. Way too much going on timing wise to make it happen and the results back up my sentiments, frankly. This is where he starts his AB at present. What are we doing here? The thing is this becomes a timing circus. Bat and arms lower. Lead leg lifts. It is all just way too pin point. Do not like. Pitcher is in the wind-up now: And now the ball is en route. So much going on. Do. Not. Like.
  5. 9-4 Muddies in the 6th. This is what we call a 'big inning'. For those at home new to the game.
  6. Going back to watch that one but Walling absolutely crushed that. That error in RF was MASSIVE.
  7. Continuing the numerous anomalies in the MiLB.TV and Gameday universe in 2024, they are reporting RHP Jeferson Figueroa having relieved Cornielle here in the bottom of the 5th. That is absolutely verifiably RHP Bayden Root. LOL.
  8. Castillo makes them pay - two run jack over the RF wall. Smoked it pulling an inside heater. His 2nd in two nights. 17 on the year. That was a 348 foot cooker. 7-4 Mudcats lead and more imporantly Castillo has that coveted 69 RBI mark.
  9. Well Augusta's RF'er gave his own version of charity (De La Cruz) Very catchable ball hit deep to the warning track and he just absolutely biffed the catch. Bitonti scores. Di Turi moved on to 2B. Mudcats lead 5-4. Augusta has committed 4 errors on the evening.
  10. Bitonti gets one to fall! Rips a liner single into RF. Noice! Nice to see him make some decent contact for a line drive in any fashion. Been a bit of a pop up lull. Let's hope that gets him going.
  11. Naturally, the umps don't know it was a HR. AND, now they give it. My goodness. Another moon shot. The man can pull that ball. All these silly prospect maven prognostications just don't get it. Pratt has immense power. Listen to ME. Not them. That is my public service announcement. LOL.
  12. Another Cooper Pratt BOMB. You guessed it: pulled moon shot over the LF wall. Big poke T-Rats lead 2-1. That was a crazy launch angle. He hit the hyeck out of that ball but it barely made it over the fence due to the launch. Went into orbit and kissed the moon I hear.
  13. The Shrimp are really making Henderson work and they are taking advantage by sitting on his change-up. He has the bases juiced in the top of the 4th. One down. And, Gordon sits on a first pitch 88 mph cutter - poorly located - and knocks two across. 4-0 Shrimp. Henderson really just isn't locating.
  14. Yophery fell 0-2 and worked it full and took a free pass. Game is tied 4-4. Bases still juiced. New pitcher coming aboard.
  15. Bases loaded for the second consecutive inning for the Muddies. This time Yophery Rodriguez will get the opportunity to do some damage. Muddies still trail 4-3. Two down. He takes a strike looking. He swings and misses on a string pull change-up that dips just below the zone. Meanwhile, Seminaris just gave up another couple runs via a ground out and bloop single to CF. 3-0 Shuckers trail.
  16. Seminaris got a K looking and then a sac fly to CF. 1-0 Barrons. Two down. Men on 1st and 2nd.
  17. Guilarte has swiped three bags tonight. Just took 2nd and 3rd.
  18. Early trouble for LHP Adam Seminaris. 1-2 liner single to LF has the bases juiced. Nobody out in just his first inning of work.
  19. My goodness. The error comes back to haunt the Muddies. 4-3 game after a sky high bloop somehow found the grass between Bitonti and Walling. Unreal. Looked like a ball neither guy wanted to get to or was incapable of calling and taking that ball. Bitonti still had an angle to that ball and made an attempt. Ultimately he whiffed on the catch attempt.
  20. Castillo just brutally misplayed a fly ball to LF with two down. Couldn't find it initially. Then found it stumbling backward and dropped it as it went directly into his mitt. Unbelievable. LOL. Two men down. Man now in scoring position in a 3-3 game top of the 5th.
  21. RBI two out bases loaded walk for Jadher Areinamo. Perez will try to do damage lefty-to-lefty. He hasn't looked all that comfortable in his AB's.
  22. Hendo just K'd a guy on a gorgeous change-up for the 2nd out. He just gave up a two-run two-out jack over the LF wall on a hanging change-up dead center belt high. Roinks. 2-0 Shrimpsters.
  23. Walling quickly in an 0-2 count. Check swing and went on a slider in the dirt. Check swung and took a heater on the outer black. 1-2 count laying off an inside slider. Lays off a high inside heater. 2-2 count. He takes looking on an outside corner breaking ball. That's the second time he has gone down looking at that exact pitch. Gotta be better in that situation. In the very least, fight it off Reece. Sigh.
