  1. Gimmmmmme all the sizzlin' hot Mears takes on his 10 pitch, 7 strike outing. Make them baseball pornographic.
  2. I guess this will open up more PT for Tyler Black in the OF. Unexpected perk of this deal, hopefully. My ongoing opinion is the OF grass is his best bet defensively.
  3. I'm thinking Junis refused to wear the 'Undaunted' shirt and maybe had a back-and-forth with Murphy. Gotta wear the shirt.
  4. Gotta say I do not like this deal all that much up front. I like it for the Reds. Do not like for the Brewers (unless of course Montas pitches lights out and then I never once doubted this trade).
  5. In a perfect world there is no restrictions or inning limits on Miz or Yoho and they thrive in late summer and play meaningful innings. Will this happen? No clue. Do I want it to happen? Absolutely YES. (This scenario also assumes Miz benefits greatly from promotion and harnesses his stuff with new coaching and better catching)
  6. Color me very very excited to see him have an opportunity to upgrade his defensive backstops.
  7. Love the Lane Thomas deal for the Nationals. Clemmey is a legit high upside arm. Don't care about the ERA or the current walk rate. He has all the tools to make a serious push for a top of the rotation starter down the line. That young man absolutely dominanced the Mudcats in the first half.
  8. That was a key victory for the DSL Cerveceros Uno. Their divisional foes, the DSL Orioles Orange, have won 6 straight (they've also played three more games). The Crew Uno stayed 1.5 GB of first place.
  9. Well, hello Monday! Let's GO! I'm excite!
  10. Just for a very healthy dose of reference: The Timber Rattlers were sitting and very much playing at a 41-51 record on this very same date last year. #TheEstevezEffect
  11. Indeedly do! It would appear he got McIntosh with a punch out from that 2-2 count. Cutting out a pitch or two early is absolutely par for my MiLB.TV viewing experience in 2024. To the gills. Heck of a day for the Brewers org! Woot woot.
  12. Well, with the game in a 2-2 count. Two down. Man on 2nd. The telecast went to a 'Thank You for Watching' screen. I'm going to assume Yoho got that last out. LOL. Shuckers win 6-1?
  13. Yoho flashes the leather. My goodness. Look at this pick up on a comebacker. Well, nevermind. The screen capture isn't going to do it justice. My back pulled watching it.
  14. Yoho hitter's counts just don't really matter. My goodness. He is just so dang filthy.
  15. Really nice work by LHP Justin King. He gets Wilken flailing at a beautiful change-up tailing off the outer black for a 1-2 swinging K. I tell you, watching that inning, I'm thinking and saying the exact same thing today as I am when they released King: "Why would you let that arm leave the system for free?" He has stuff and tools that merit a roster spot. Just silly.
  16. EBJ with an AB bespeaking of a guy who hasn't got a hit all day. He swings and misses on a high 94 mph heater. Was well behind that pitch. Not a good AB. Two down.
  17. O'Rae walks - now on base 3x today. EBJ up to the dish. Bases juiced. One down. EBJ is hitless on his day so far...
  18. Fittingly, King gets the swing and miss K on a breaking ball below the zone. Martin took some really questionable hacks in that AB.
  19. King can pretty much throw anything to Casey Martin who is apparently swinging at anything right now.
  20. AND, we'll get a look at our old friend LHP Justin King. Let's GO!
  21. Kahle rips a two-run deep single in the right CF gap. He plates two. Warren holds at 3rd. Men on the corners now. 6-1 Shuckers!
  22. LOL. Warren hits a swinging bunt in a 3-2 count and it stays fair down the 1B line. Another run crosses. Nobody could cover 1B in time. Bases still juiced. 4-1 Shuckers.
