Cornielle is back out on the hill to start the 2nd. So, whatever he tweaked to end the first frame it wasn't serious. -
Wiemer oppo single through the defensive coverage (men on 1st and 2nd) scores Black from 2B. 1-0 Sounds. Meanwhile, we have an Eduardo Garcia hard hit liner to CF misplayed in the gather that caromed off the charging CF for an error and wind up on 3B. Valerio grounds out to deep SS and Garcia scores. 1-0 T-Rats in the top of the 2nd.

Walling dub off the top of the RF wall? An angel grows its wings. All is back to well.

Very fair. That slider in the dirt was really not catchable. But, you could make an argument on the high heaters. That last slider, absolutely a lazy effort.

Cornielle did not look comfortable after K'ng the final batter to end the 1st frame. He hunched over and looked to walk gingerly off the mound. The Sky Carps announcers are mentioning this as well. Quite obvious he did 'something'. What that was? I have no idea.

For context, folks, that's two high heaters he failed to get his mitt to. He has now failed to get his body behind two slider stabbing with his glove - at air on the first...and off his glove for the second. Pair all this with an airmailed throw into LF. A woeful outing. AND, now the homeplate ump has decided to squeeze Miz as a result.

AND, another Miz pitch travels to the back stop. A WP inside slider in the dirt. Recorded the second of his outing.

Ball four high and wide. Miller airmails a throw into LF in a failed CS attempt. Sheeeeesh. Ugly sequence there. Miller once again having a rough defensive outing early.

Oh man. Miz picked off the runner at 2B. BUT, wait a minute, it's 2024. Pitch clock violation first. LOL. 2-2 count now. As opposed to 1-2 and two down. Throws a slider in the dirt and it's a full count.

Miz walks a batter on a slider outside the zone (good pitch - almost got the chase on the check swing). He sails the first pitch heater to the backstop. His second such pitch. Man on 2nd now with two down. No matter, he gets the harmless chopper to O'Rae at 2B. Meanwhile, in Salem, the Muddies have runners on 1st and 2nd with one down (Walling K looking on a dead center heater in a 2-2 count). 1-1 game.

Whew, some zesty work by Miz here in the second. He gets another swinging K to a lefty - this one on a gorgeous breaking pitch on the inner black dipping just below the knees.

Manuel was hit fairly hard on several AB's early. Including a solo jack over the RF wall. 1-1 game as we head to the 2nd. (YES, it was the RF wall @wiguy94😁)

LOL. On the Pensacola feed (watching the Mudcats side by side) from a dugout angle? Looked high corner. If it wasn't? It was still a swinging K. 😂 Maybe I'm just preparing to call games from the announcers booth? If I had a nickel...

Yophery just chased down a very deep fly line drive to the wall in left CF and made the catch as he crashed into the hard wall. Wasn't a hard crash. None the less, that's plywood out there. He definitely hit it and crashed to the dirt. Slow to get up but he appears just fine. Nice catch.

Miz grabs a K swinging on a heater on the upper corner of the zone. Two down. Man still on 1B.

Guilarte starts his post-All Star break appearances with a K looking on a dead center cut slider on a 1-2 count. Didn't even lift the bat. On to the 2nd. 1-0 Muddies. Pratt stranded at 2B.
