  1. PS: I am innings behind. I literally had to go gather chicken eggs, water pigs, water rabbits, and close garden gates. #FarmLife. 😅Thankfully, Milb.TV has that glorious pause feature. Love it.
  2. RHP K.C. Hunt is such a baller. Goodness I love watching him sling the white rat. He has so much moxy and bravado and the stuff to back it up. Definitively one of my favorite storylines of 2024.
  3. Wichrowski with a clean 1-2-3 first frame. A couple very well hit grounders in there. Heater pumping 97-98. Not a whole lot going on with off-speed other than a very nice sweeper a couple times.
  4. Well, I don't think I've ever said this for a Minor League broadcast: THAT was an amazing National Anthem performance in Biloxi. My goodness.
  5. KC Hunt escapes the Garcia's error with 2 K and a CS at 2B on a beautiful throw and tag.
  6. Eduardo Garcia, on the heels of a very erratic evening at 3B last night, has his first play at SS tonight. A routine grounder. Unclean scoop. Rushes the throw. Airmails it well over Hall at 1B. I have to say, he has been extremely sloppy these past two games - form he should be well past given his status and age as a prospect.
  7. That's now 4 scoreless innings for Rivero. More importantly: 0 BB. 0 HBP. 6 K. Only 41 pitches used. Just the outing we needed to keep the Rivero 'Train of Hope' warming up at the station. Muddies cling to a 1-0 lead headed to the 5th.
  8. Rivero faces another full count. He advances the runner to 2B on his first balk (thankfully, his first) BUT, who cares? He gets his 6th K and his second K swinging this frame. My goodness. As I said earlier in this thread: SO much talent in the toolkit. I need this outing like I need oxygen. Gimme gimme Jesus!😅
  9. He gets a swinging K on an inside sinker to escape the man on 2nd threat - getting the very dangerous Luken Baker, no less. Heck of a first frame by Patrick. Maybe the best first inning I've seen from him all season.
  10. Beautiful power change-up swinging K (89 mph tailing outside the zone) to get his 2nd out of his first frame for RHP Chad Patrick.
  11. Rivero opened his fourth with another K. That's now 5 K through 3 1/3 IP. Absolutely HERE for it.
  12. Every Tyler Black dig at 1B = a fist pump from this old Brewers head here. Patrick just gave up a one down 108 mph stand-up rocket double that one-hopped the wall off the bat of Jordan Walker.
  13. Meanwhile Walling is stranded at 3B after Yoshwar Garcia grounds out to 3B to end the frame. On to the bottom of the 4th.
  14. Collins K looking on a back door slider. Wes Clarke K swinging on an inside cutter. Hicklen pops out to RF on a high heater. The runners are stranded. 0-for-3 with RISP already.
  15. Walling tags to 2B on a fly out to RF off the bat of Luis Castillo. That must have gone to the warning track or deep foul territory? One down. Walling on 2B.
  16. Walling opens the 4th frame with a single and his BA is back above the Mendoza Line. Let's go, Reece!
  17. Ahhhh yes. That's a salient point! (Still dreaming of that flight to High-A Wisco despite your logical wisdom here!)
  18. Rivero works around a single to CF and a fielding error by 1B Reece Walling (his 6th of his season) getting a fly out to Yophery Rodriguez on the CF grass. Meanwhile, After two XBH's last night, Mr. Wiemer just worked the count full and took a free pass. Men on 1st and 2nd. Nobody down for Isaac Collins.
  19. We are underway in hot and humid Memphis. Upper 90's. Likely feels like 115 or more with that humidity. Black opens with a 1-1 single line drive into CF. His red hot play continues since being optioned.
  20. Rivero opens his third frame with his 4th K. On three pitches. Hoo-Ha!
  21. They're showing the Redbirds walk-off last night now that the warm up is well underway. What an atrocioius pitch by LHP Nick Bennett. I mean that was the very definition of an off-speed hanger. Good gracious. So much pain to re-watch. LOL.
  22. Guilarte struck out for the 2nd time batting lead-off tonight. Di Turi followed with a two-out ground rule double in his 2nd AB.
  23. Ground out to 3B (Guilarte) to end the frame. That's 2 IP, 1 H, 0 BB, 3 K for the young Rivero. 1-0 Muddies and we are on to the 3rd frame.
  24. Full count to the next hitter. Foul ball on the sixth pitch. Pop out to 3B on the 7th pitch. Noice! Two down.
