  1. The Angels organization has heard your pleas for Keston's next MLB opportunity: "The Angels announced that infielder Luis Rengifo has been placed on the 10-day injured list (retroactive to July 4) due to inflammation in his right wrist. In corresponding moves, the Halos selected the contract of infielder Keston Hiura from Triple-A, and moved right-hander Andrew Wantz to the 60-day injured list."
  2. That's a wrap. Los Cerveceros Dos have won 10-3. Sanchez went another frame scoreless (really having a nice season in relief). 19-year-old RHP Jhosep Ospino got a lil rambunctious in the bottom of the ninth - a tip of the cap to DSL Specials through the years. A single, SB, BB, HB. Bases juiced. Nobody down. He says: "Memories and acknowledgments of DSL Specials are but fleeting emotions. Let's get real!" K and DP to end the threat. They move to 15-8. They've won 5 straight. They are a mere 1.0 GB the Orioles Orange.
  3. Honestly, he probably already hit for the cycle?
  4. Speaking of Eduarqui, he has to have some of the worst BABIP luck in the system this season. He is absolutely consistently ripping balls over the past couple months. Sooooo many of those balls go right to the opponent.
  5. Yeah, he hasn't been the absolute everyday guys Made and Pena have been on that roster. But, despite the lack of long balls, he is definitely getting on base and showing a really advanced pitch recognition at only 17 years of age (until mid-April of next year!!). Possibly showing some gap power as his season is progressing ( 3B and 2B today) and swiping some bags in the process. Yet another player in this class to have tempered excitement about. I mean 14 BB-to-11 K is dynamic at 'just turned 17'. Pair that with an OPS North of 1.000 and a BA North of 0.300 in over 50 AB? Whewwww.
  6. This just in (I know, shocker!): That knock has been changed to a double. (Honestly, waiting for them to change the tallies to a different player. Maybe even different team! 🤭)
  7. INF Jesus Made says: "No way, Jose!" He hits his fourth long ball of his summer knotting the game with a two-run jack of his own. It's a 2-2 game in the bottom of the third frame. THIS international class is bananas. Let's GO!
  8. The DSL Crew Dos are getting knocked around 6-1 through four frames. They are being outhit 10-to-1 BUT that sole knock is a...wait for it... Lead-off man CF Jose Anderson HR! His second in two days. His 6th of his summer. Barring results elsewhere, Anderson is in sole possession of most DSL HR this summer. Coming into today's contest he was tied at 5 with several others.
  9. This made me LOL. Adams is absolutely a joy to watch. And he's improving at the dish which is quite fun given his patience and power and passion. He has to clean these free-wheeling type of throws up. Gotta happen. There's a time and a place for them but he currently lacks the discipline to recognize or discern those moments.
  10. OK. I'm bowing out. Boy oh boy we have a legit chance to go 8-0 across the board. Let's roll some lucky 7's in Denver and Memphis and give the Mudcats that Mojo to pull it out in Zebulon! Good night all. Enjoy your evenings.
  11. Pratt's on base streak in jeopardy here tonightt. He's now 0-for-4. Just flew out to CF.
  12. This just in: I continue to love RHP Nick Merkel on the mound. I think this young man is just discovering what he's capable of as a professional hurler. I touted him on more than one occasion last season. In 2024, I see more poise. A better understanding of his strengths. And, just overall, better execution. He absolutely has one of the better off-speed arsenals in the entire system. It's fantastic to see him continue to develop.
  13. I have grill duties a comin' down the pipeline here. What an absolutely fantastic day of Brewers Minor League baseball. We are in a blessed blessed era, my friends. I am soaking this up every single night this summer. I am clearly behind the streams so will be bowing out shortly. Let's grab some 'W's!
  14. RHP Dikember Sanchez is very clearly showcasing why he may be the cream of the crop of the ACL Brewers call-ups. He's absolutely ascending quickly in Low-A Carolina. He comes aboard with two on and nobody down. Gets the fly out to LF. Then gets two K's. Just fantastic shutdown stuff. He's been really good early in his Carolina tenure.
  15. EBJ with the oppo single knock to go ahead? Yes Sir! Here for it. Let's go. That's a two-run RBI there. 3-1 Shuckers.
  16. Wilken ties it with a bloop single to shallow CF. Gotta love it. Hey, we'll take anything at this juncture! 1-1 game. Men on 2nd and 3rd. Two down. Darrien Miller to the dish. Lefty-vs-Lefty match-up.
  17. That's now two conecutive four-pitch walks for Nova to start his seventh frame. Man, he has had an ugly outing. Let's hope he can escape in the very least. Bullpen activity beginning. Sanchez is up.
  18. All good, my friend! Keep posting. The more the merrier! No need for apologies.
  19. Nova opens his seventh with a four pitch walk. He's been allllll over the place tonight. Two HB. Two walks. A WP. Ugly outing. BUT, he's so far gone forth undamaged.
  20. Here is where that throw ends up. An easy six feet before the bag. The runner isn't even, what, 10 feet from the bag? It's just so abusrd. This ends with a runner reaching by entirely unnecessary error. The ball high-hopped Hall here. You see it here about to hit dirt. It is my biggest complaint on his very young and exciting game. Get rid of this. Just throw it out the window. It's one thing when it's a bang-bang play down the line. I get that entirely. BUT, it's an entirely different thing when it's happening within very fundamental baseball plays. This won't work as he moves up the affiliate levels. It will put him in a dog house.
  21. BUT, here's where he gets to by choice. AND, he does this very throw entirely too much. The vast majority of his errors come from this ridiculous motion. What the heck are we doing here Luke? Step IN to your throw with your lead power leg. THIS? This is just entirely unnecessary:
  22. As a quick but direct aside... THIS is the stuff Luke Adams has to clean up as he moves up the system. His over-reliance on his innate raw athleticism as opposed to good fundamentals and better defensive baseball. Here's a look for you. Hard hit grounder to 3B. He's shadowed to the 3B line. SO, he's there and gathers the ball with plenty of time to make this play. Here's the gather:
  23. LF Yoshwar Garcia also doing damage tonight. Gotta love it.
