Manfredi has seen the bases loaded after seeing them empty with two down. He just missed a K looking on two pitches that were very very close to the zone - likely both missed by a matter of inches. Still a 0-0 game.

A misplay off the bullpen 3B line wall by LF Yoshwar Garcia sees a double turned to a triple to lead off the 3rd for RHP Manuel Rodriguez. The ball was roped. But, that was entirely misplayed by Garcia.

Yeah, he's making all sorts of call errors on player names. Criss-crossing squads. LOL.

Walling missed a three-run bomb by about 1/2" on the barrell. Instead we get a long, high fly ball to the base of the RF wall. Whew. Doesn't get much closer than that. Tough luck! On to the 3rd frame.

Guilarte nabbed at 2B on a beautiful throw and scoop and tag. That was really nice by the Nats.

Hall and Areinamo have both lined out hard to the OF. Neither drop for hits. Baseball.

Guilarte smacks a first pitch single through the 1B side. AND, Matt Wood does the same in West Michigan. Both balls cracked. Noice!

Manfredi looking very sharp early. He works around a quick 1-2-3 inning to open his start with a nice swinging K on an outside sinking change-up to end his 1st inning. Meanwhile, Rodriguez works around a bloop poke to shallow CF by getting a beautiful CS by David Garcia with a fantastic throw to 2B. Rodriguez then gets the weak end-of-bat roller to the mound to end the threat. On to the bottom of the 2nd. 0-0 in both knocks so far.

Rodriguez worked around a one-out double in the first. Scoreless with a K. On to the bottom half for the Muddies first AB's. Super annoying right now, however. For some reason we don't have an MiLB.TV feed. Weird. I guess I'll jump to the T-Rats as sole focus.

RHP Joel Kuhnel has been signed by the Milwaukee Brewers and assigned to the Nashville Sounds RHP Kevin Herget has been optioned by the Milwuakee Brewers to the Nashville Sounds INF/OF Adam Hall has been activated by the ACL Brewers (signed and assigned to the ACL Crew in late May of this year)

The DSL Brewers Uno (5-1) are now 3rd in Runs Scored in their 6 game sample. The trail only the League-leading Giants Black (7-0) and DSL Tampa Bay (4-3) but both have played 7 games. If we extrapolate out the Uno's ridunkulous 8.83 R/G average, they would lead Tampa Bay by a run. The Uno also hold the 3rd spot when it comes to Run Differential - 20 Runs difference...53 RS-to-33 RA. It's fair to say: this is a talented squad with Championship potential. The DSL Brewers Dos are really not all that far behind but it would appear, early at least, they may have more challenges with their pitching staff. The Dos have only played 5 games. Yet, they've given up three more runs than their counterparts in the Crew Uno pitching staff. Yet, holding a 3-2 record after today's shellacking of the same DSL Tampa Bay squad referenced above, they are still managing to plate an impressive 8.6 R/G. It is quite fair to say: both these Brewers DSL teams can mash. Which is quite fun! Offense remains the theme in the ACL where the ACL Crew are tied atop the RS leaderboard with 187 runs scored in 28 games. The problem here? The ACL Crew pitching staff has also allowed a League-Leading 207 Runs. This is 27 runs more than their next closest counterpart in the ACL Royals. Yikes. Averaging 6.68 R/G. Allowing 7.39. This quite easily explains a season spent below the 0.500 mark. They sit in 10th place overall in a 15-team League at 12-16. Their regular season will run until July 25th. Lotta ball games left...which appears to mean lots of runs on both sides of the diamond.

I personally like Eduardo Charles' 7 AB 1.727 OPS sample. It's a game of samples, folks. This one's a winner! 😜

Yup. We've been chatting about him quite a bit of late. He's essentially fitting the early Baseball America scouting write-up to the letter. Lesser heralded but a $60K signing bonus certainly indicates the Brewers were serious and he wasn't just 'a guy' in a pool of the $10K guys - which I don't mean in any way shape or form as disparaging. EDIT: I was like - when did he bomb?! Sure nough. The 8th frame. Man, the young men put some runs today late. Love it.

There's one more starting arm in Nashville that deserves an opportunity to see how his stuff fares at the MLB level - trade or no trade. That arm is RHP Chad Patrick. He was our return in the nationally recognized INF Abraham Toro trade 🤥. AND, simply put: he's been consistent and solid as a rock for that pitching staff. He tends to scuffle out of the gates for some reason but gets stronger and stronger as his outings progress. 7-of-11 GS's are Quality Starts. Legit mix of pitches to lean on. Never seems to lose control of an outing. On the season, batters are hitting 0.221 BAA while he sports a 1.14 WHIP. In his two June starts? 0.159 BAA and a 0.71 WHIP. In the very least, I'd love to see him get the opportunity Tobias Myers has gotten. I am not averse to going after a starting pitcher whatsoever. BUT, we also have one more candidate in house to potentially provide an important stop-gap given the broader starting pitching injuries at hand. Junis' velo is way down. Ross had a set back. Gasser likely done for the year etc. etc. They'll need more than a trade candidate. Patrick might be a serious option.

This is great. It's nice to see written word and description to what I was babbling about in the Minor League forums. It was quite obvious Paredes had legitimate MLB stuff and was getting insane whiff rates - the details in here help elucidate the 'why' and 'how'. He simply had to wait the due process of 40-Man shuffles and ensuing injuries to get his turn. I'm simply happy it happened.

I have a sneaky feeling this is what 2023 DSL Dodgers zealots felt like. Man those Dodgers DSL teams were juggernauts.
