  1. Here is where it lands. Directly behind him back and to his left and below that broom/brush on the black and white sign in the dirt. Like where did he lose it?😅
  2. Yeah, Ragsdale took two false quick steps in on the liner and couldn't recover. That ball was roped, however. He needed to immediately go toward the wall so it landed past him. BUT, the real misplay in that inning was from LF Handelfry Encarnacion. He was absolutely eaten up and turned around at a ball that bounced at the foot of the wall in the warning track dirt. He was there. Had plenty of time to get to it. Went the wrong way to track the ball. Stepped forward a few steps and watched it land behind him to his left. Brutal play. That's the third out and Tobias is out of the inning and the Muddies lead 2-1. Instead...it's 2-2 and another man is aboard. Here is where he stops when tracking the ball.
  3. Made beats out a 95 mph tailor made DP ball grounder to 2B. The man has some absolute jets. No business beating that ball. He did so comfortably by a step or two.
  4. 99 mph ground ball up the middle for a single for Fischer. That's two singles. 1 BB. 1 K. Much better evening.
  5. 2:05:09 classic example of why I purport 1B Blake Burke's defense is vastly underrated. Just a fantastic charging gather and throw to 3B to get the lead runner in a bunt sacrifice move the runners over attempt. Not an easy play. Had to throw across his body to Warren at 3B in a full big man sprint. Accurate. Bang bang. Got the out. He is just a much better athlete than given credit for due to his body type.
  6. Shuckers had a big opportunity after a fantastic EBJ bunt up the 3B line got the bases full with one down in the bottom of the 4th. And, in a 1-1 count Vargas one hopped liner into a DP to end the threat. Woof. Just couldn't find the hole on that one.
  7. 2B Raynel Delgado with the reverse natural cycle last night. Here in the 6th inning (I'm behind) 1B Blayberg Diaz grabs his first stolen base! What a week!
  8. Another single to RF for Adamczewski. That's three more quality AB's tonight. After two really plus ground out AB approaches. He just knows how to hit. Uncanny. And he swipes 2B while Castillo K's swinging. His first High-A SB as well. You love to see it.
  9. He is charged for his first walk with two down here in the fifth. Home plate ump definitely squeezed him on two of those balls. When you are dealing like this? I do not understand how the home plate ump squeezes like that. Reward the work!
  10. Man, tuning back in to watch Manuel Rodriguez flame 88 mph past these Beloit bats in the fifth frame for two more consecutive K's at 81 pitches is sure something. The movement of the off-speed arsenal just truly helps that 88-90 mph 'heat' blow by these guys. It's uncanny.
  11. Go to your room! No dinner tonight.
  12. OK. After dealing with my 7-year-old melt down that I added mustard powder into the tuna noodle salad (😅 - It's too spicy!!!!!) it's time to pause the games and go do some animal chores. Good early night. Other than the Sounds broadcast snafus after two pitches (it may have come back by now but I waited a good several minutes).
  13. MADE BOMB!!! 106 MPH PULL SHOT LINED OVER THE RF WALL. BABY!!!! INSIDE SLIDER. ABSOLUTE TURNED AND BURNED.
  14. He quickly swipes his 4th SB in his 4th attempt. He was there quite easily.
  15. Fischer hits a 94 mph two out single through the right side of the infield. Nice to see him make contact.
  16. Lameda and Holguin are flashing serious leather early in this Salem road series. Lameda just made a charging cross-body underhand submarine flick to 1B for an out and he made it look routine. He almost gets the diving snare on a liner up the middle on the next play. Caromed off his glove it appears.
  17. RHP KC Hunt opens his third frame with three consecutive curve balls. Three consecutive swings and misses for his fourth consecutive K. Noice!
  18. Rodriguez ends his fourth frame with another K swinging. Gorgeous, gutsy, inside slider (?) on a 3-2 pitch after a few fouls pulled down the RF line. Fantastic work. 6 K through 4 IP of 1 H 0 BB work.
  19. The first Mudcats run comes via a bases loaded walk. These Muddies bats were happy to see this new bullpen arm. That's four consecutive walks. All with two outs. And Payne takes ball 1 as well. And, he grounds out. Threat over. 1-0 Muddies lead.
  20. First contact of any kind on Rodriguez here in the 4th is a 96 mph fly out to CF that died like a duck in the midland grass. That has been the only contact so far. It was a 2-2 count. He was kind of squeezed on a high inside heater that could have gone either way - with the way he's pitching I think he should have gotten the call. Facing Dylan Head as the next batter he hits a high breaker soft liner into very shallow LF. The No No is over.
  21. And, just like that he gets his second K looking - this one on what was either a curve or a slider I saw it late. That's 23 pitches through 2 IP for Hunt. You love to see it.
  22. RHP KC Hunt is getting a lot of stares at his change-up tonight. Has a K looking on that pitch in the 2nd. Just saw another batter watch it land peacefully for a strike. Seems to be causing early problems for the Lookouts.
  23. Castillo has the two run blast over the RF wall. He now has the 8" ground out just in front of home plate. He didn't even move. I don't blame him. Pull up a lawn chair!
  24. Shuckers strand two in their first frame after C Babe Wood grounds out to 1B.
