  1. I think best case scenario is ol' QB Matt Flynn. If they get that type of production and performance there, I'm won over. As you've seen, however, I have sincere doubts.
  2. From the Packer Report Draft Guide. Posting it because the authors posted it on the Bird App:
  3. Yeah, he is absolutely stoked:
  4. If I recall, Morley called this back in early March in one of the "Pack-A-Day" pods. He loves Wicks. He must be so stoked.
  5. I am so with you here. I am trying to let it go. Let's do it...there is extremely little to be excited about here. LOL.
  6. Well, this is interesting: So, it would appear they view him strictly inside or, in the least, that's where they want him to start out.
  7. I can accommodate your request. No problemo. I'll try and split them into two posts in the future for you.
  8. I always focus on the positives of Packers draft picks first. I let the negatives, so to speak, show themselves when they actually play a meaningful NFL snap. To your point, however, he has negatives for sure. He's smaller - though, he does have 195 lbs which is 35 lbs heavier than when he first played at Western Michigan. He's not going to win in his cuts or as the route changes ie double moves - ie he's a bit stiff and those double moves tend to run flat as opposed to sharp. But, he's not going to need to go Outside so I personally don't worry about this. Can he? Sure. But, that's not using him effectively. He should play 80% in the slot, imho. Where he'll win in the slot is with his strength, aggression, catch point etc. He doesn't have anywhere near the agility in those slot routes like a JSN. He just doesn't have that in-route wiggle. But, because of his return prowess, he still know how to make guys miss. Anyhow, take it or leave it. It makes no difference to me.
  9. I think Reed is really going to surprise you. Time will tell, obviously. But, he's a guy in the slot who is going to win to the catch point; has the PR wiggle and lateral agility to make guys miss; and has legit breakaway potential. The Packers had him timed at 4.37, btw. I have to think they see this is a much better player than Amari Rogers - well, because, he is a much better NFL football level prospect than Amari ever was.
  10. I agree with and endorse this. Pretty much exactly how I feel. A Kingsley Keke who actually has the right head on his shoulders is one of the first things I thought after this selection.
  11. ** Check out that Kenny Clark-esque interior swim and sprint move in this last clip. Fun player.
  12. He's actually very good versus the run because they moved him inside and outside for run downs where he uses his tools really well: (Full PFN scouting report HERE)
  13. Life, taxes, and the Minnesota Wild choking in yet another first round series. It is uncanny. 😔
  14. All 4 current Packers draft picks made Brennen Rupp's 'Unpacking Future Packers' list. Three of the picks were in his top 12 (Van Ness, Kraft, and Musgrave - WR Jayden Reed is his #64). (Really great write-ups of each player in the above linked 'Complete List')
  15. This brought me joy;
  16. Well alright, alright, alright. Party at the Moon Tower.
  17. It's the first time the Packers have ever drafted three pass catchers in the first 3 rounds, I believe? Quite a moment. I'm listening to all the post draft interviews. All of these young men are extremely likable. Thoughtful. They definitely grabbed some fine young humans, it would appear. That's a win in and of itself.
  18. Certainly seems like Kraft has a very cerebral melon on those shoulders...that's a dang country line for the Top 40.
  19. Really nice read from Bill Huber here on WR Jayden Reed: Full Article HERE
  20. So Jayden Reed will wear #1 (first time since Curly Lambeau - wowsers) Luke Musgrave will wear #88 (we know who last wore this...I likey) Luke Van Ness will wear #90 These are some elite number choices. Not going to lie.
  21. From someone who really knows tape, Ben Fennell:
  22. Of the remaining wideouts, I would expect a name from this list: A.T. Perry Rashee Rice Dontayvion Wicks Grant Dubose
