  1. Really nice concise write-up from Justis Mosqueda (one of the better Edge analyst guys in all of Packers Twitter) on the Van Ness pick. Mosqueda is never hesitant to belittle a Packers pick. He really likes this one: Full Article Here
  2. Mauch is really good. Versatile too. Classic Packers OL and he did meet with the Packers staff. I would be thrilled, honestly. He's a classic 10-year OL guy.
  3. For comparisons sake only. You can see, if he managed a few more bench reps, we're looking at a near super freak except for the vertical explosion. Bigger than clay - taller; heavier; bigger hands; longer arms but also has a better 40, 10 and 20 yard split. Whereas Clay had slightly better agility and hence measured more as a strictly stand-up guy. Anyway, it's quite apparent why the Packers wanted this young ball of clay:
  4. Yeah, it's a bit odd right? Strength comes in so many different forms. Knowing he was a bull rusher, as well, it was odd. Must be that lower body power, explosion, and those 34" long arms?
  5. The strength will come indeed. People need to remember when he arrived at Iowa he was only 220 lbs. The weight on the frame came first and he's still very explosive. The refinements will come. This is a massive ball of clay who was Brugler's 10th overall rated player. He's young with tons of upside. He can Edge (obviously) but he can also play over the C/G like a Zadarius Smith.
  6. Interesting:
  7. OR their TE of choice. It would make a ton of sense. I also don't think it would take both 2's. Would it?
  8. This is awesome. LOL.
  9. Van Ness is a very very Packers pick. Bigger Edge. His ceiling is extremely high. And, the Packers not taking a WR or a TE early is classic Packers.
  10. Wow, Seahawks grab Witherspoon. There must have been tears in the Lions draft room!
  11. Anthony Richardson goes to Indy. Nice. That will be fun to watch.
  12. It's looking more and more like RB Bijan Robinson is going to Atlanta in the Top 10.
  13. There are substantiated rumors/whispers, fwiw, that if Seattle moves down they may be targeting Van Ness and he is a player the Eagles covet. I think NFL teams see a guy with all the tools and size and he can get stronger in their weight rooms. Personally, I think the Eagles may be targeting if those top Tackles go and they can't trade up. IF they trade up, I imagine the Iggles - given the contract to Hurts and given how Roseman works - would be targeting a top Tackle.
  14. Apparently, Seattle has been getting calls all afternoon from the Titans and the Iggles to move up to their 5th spot. That's interesting.
  15. Whispers are there are major concerns re: Edge Tyree Wilson's medicals. Both feet. And a back issue. IF he falls past Seattle, we know the medicals are more worrisome for more teams than anticipated. The obvious add-on here is who benefits most from this should he fall? CJ Stroud Will Anderson Parison Johnson Jr. Jalen Carter (?) Apparently, CJ Stroud is now the odds on favorite to go #2
  16. Yes. They. Can. Keep dreaming, my friend. Love it.
  17. Well, that's interesting. Van Ness not one of them really surprises me.
  18. What am I missing here? Having discussions doesn't mean anything until they are actually serious discussions. As of now it's a rumor they've talked. Is this substantial?
  19. We just might be in for one of the wildest first rounds in quite some time (or ever, er merrr gerd). OR, this is all hogwash and it is cookie cutter. It's pandemonium!
  20. @LouisEly^^ You salty dog, You! Daniel Jeremiah also has us taking TE Dalton Kincaid and he typically seems to have some idea of what the Packers might do.
  21. Even better! 😅
  22. I believe alongside TE and CB you would toss in Edge. This is a very good Edge group. Agreed on the OL/WR comments though. The depth is just not there. With WR, it seems like there are many shorter gadget guys but not a lot of perimeter guys that are highly thought of.
  23. I think it's in reference to a Pelissero tweet that mentioned A-Rod and the Packers were redoing the contract and it would benefit the Packers.
