  1. With the DSL Brewers Blue ahead in the top of the 7th, 7-5 in a 7-inning game, relief RHP Jean Rodriguez has led off his work with a lead-off double followed by a HB. Shall we say: not ideal. He will try to escape this mini jam.
  2. Both DSL Squads have jumped out to early leads. 4-2 DSL Brewers Blue in headed to their bottom half of the 3rd frame. DSL Brewers Gold lead 3-0 headed to the Cubs Red bottom half of the 3rd frame on the Road.
  3. Molina getting traded twice within the first year of being a professional pitcher is nuts. That can't be an easeful simple thing to endure.
  4. You are entitled to your opinion, but I encourage you to take a look at the bigger picture here. Seigler was adored by the Nashville coaching staff. Absolutely adored. 3B is very new to him. Batting solely as a lefty is relatively new to him as well - historically he was a switch hitter. The Brewers love his approach - he is as old school as they get in the modern baseball era. Manager Rick Sweet referred to him as an 'Outdoor cat'. In other words, a born and bred baseball player. He's had 32-34 AB? He deserved this opportunity with consistent performance after a slow start. Whether you (or other fans) like it or not, he is likely going to continue getting opportunities. Remember, people were saying the exact same things about Durbin before he got games and MLB pitching exposure under his belt.
  5. You are probably correct, good Sir. I was being a wee conservative doing a cursory quick glance of the Standings. Given your acumen rapid fire sharing tweets today, I trust your insights!
  6. Well, as the Big Club (and those early April Shuckers) reminded us: One week does not a season make. Last week was pretty dang poor. BUT, that was just a single series and a single week. Plenty of landing strip left to put that in the rearview.
  7. Nice to see the DSL Squads sweep. Only 2 1/2 weeks of DSL season remain. How the season just trudges along and then <Boom!> the aCL and DSL are over. Never ceases to amaze my report-writing addled brain. As of right now both squads are on the outside looking in to the DSL Post-Season picture. Though, it is realistic if the DSL Brewers Blue (or gold, but to a much leaser extent) got on a hot streak they could feasibly sneak into one of those final three spots of the 8-Team Wild Card group. As of today, they are only a couple 2-3 G out of that last place.
  8. 😅 I understand your sentiments here as you may have read. I think the factors at play are: (1) Prospect pedigree. This is what it is. It happens in every level of sports. (2) Positional versatility - Made is the more dynamic younger athlete who can play all across the infield with legitimate high end upside at the crucial SS position. Josh, to date, is purely a 2B and DH. (3) Low-A games under the belt - Josh has been injured and missed a number of games in both Low-A stints. Despite the jaw dropping production, the Brewers may want to see him stay healthy for a period of time. If we are coming from a strict offensive production POV, there wasn't a Mudcat on the roster (before these promotions) more impactful than Adamczewski. We all know it. The good thing here is, however, knowing Josh's work ethic and general mode of operation: he isn't going to flinch or take any of this in any negative type of way. He'll be happy for his former teammates and he'll keep focusing on his craft.
  9. - INF Brady Ebel has been assigned to the ACL Brewers - OF Josiah Ragsdale has been assigned to the ACL Brewers - RHP Sean Episcope has been activated from the full-season IL by the ACL Brewers - UDFA RHP Caleb Nieman has been assigned to the Carolina Mudcats from the ACL Brewers - INF Joandrew Pena has been assigned to the DSL Brewers Gold from the DSL Brewers Blue - LHP Santiago Martinez has been assigned to the DSL Brewers Blue from the DSL Brewers Gold
  10. - RHP Austin Roberts has been traded to the Milwaukee Brewers from the Miami Marlins for cash considerations. He has been assigned to the Biloxi Shuckers.
  11. With the Shuckers 8-4 loss at Pensacola, that concludes what might qualify as the ugliest week on the Farm all season. With the Big Club humming. this is the price we must pay it appears.
  12. Because, of course. It's 2025 after all. My goodness. Naturally, MiLB.TV is doing that random thing (has done it to me multiple times this season) where I can't go back and look while the game is playing.
  13. Nice to see C Matt Wood back in the line up! Also: Pratt was pulled for a pinch runner in the first inning after a walk? Going to go take a look now Also, RHP KC Hunt's absolute inconsistent roller coaster season continues. Back-and-forth we go. 3 HR allowed today. Wooof. Shuckers trail 5-3 after getting two back in the fourth.
  14. Blake Burke's first RBI in Double-A is an oppo single to LF. Well hit ball.
  15. Mini mildly annoyed rant: I'm obviously very happy for Made and Peña. Wisconsin needs talent. But, man alive, I have been peripherally annoyed by the Brewers kind of second-classing Adamczewski since ST. Raked in his call up last season. Raked in ST. Didn't get placement in the ST Future Stars game. Absolutely mashes since his return from the IL - outpacing his early mash - doesn't get the first call up and doesn't get the public mention. I know he is slightly pigeon-holed by being a 2B only. BUT, man alive, we are talking about possibly the best pure hitter in the entire system. It's time the Brewers take the training wheels off here. It's time they start treating him like the Star he is. I watch wayyyyyyyy too much Brewers Minor League baseball to not speak strongly on this stuff when I see it and when it happens. I'm going to say my piece here. Get him to Appleton and give him his moment.
  16. The only reason Made and Peña would be announced before Adamczewski is health and games under their belt and positional versatility - ie tenure this season. Adamczewski 'should' be the first player promoted based on actual performance. One could argue (politely, mind you) that this over-placing Made given his slump over the past two months - hasn't hit a long ball since late May. Repeated outs on the basepaths due to over-aggressive focus errors. Defense has been solid. Either way, let's hope all three hit the ground running and they rightfully get Josh up there very soon. He has no business continuing to crush Low-A pitching - it's time they take the training wheels off now that he has a better understanding of his back woes. And, obviously, the addendum here would be: unfortunately, nobody besides Garcia is holding any of our Low-A studs back from heading to High-A. That much is clear. Let's just hope Wisconsin can get a nice boon from the talent influx.
  17. I tell ya, this game makes me feel like pulling a pancake from out of my pants. Just has that comfort Carb kind of feel to it.
  18. That's lucky. Let's keep the National narrative on point. Thank you for your consideration.
  19. Given ESPN had the best record in the League Brewsers scuffling to a 5-1 road trip record at LA and seattle and a #7 Power ranking - two behind the Dodgers and 6 behind the juggernaut first place Cubs - this past Monday, I have to think they knock them out of their Top 10 entirely this week after this pathetic road performance. I hear the Reds are piping Red Hot. They likely bump the Brewers to, what, 12th? Feels more than fair.
  20. Please allow me time to grieve. The writing may have been on the wall, I simply did not care to read/
  21. Ahhhhh blessed be we are in a full on RHP Joel Payamps experience. Already allowed one run. Has one out. Bases are now juiced after a full count walk. I can feel the nostalgia.
