  1. Shore looks like it! Hey, do you want to summarize all these losses?
  2. Well, I leave to do evening Farm Chores and, lo and behold, the Shuckers are also now losing. It was 4-3. I see 8-4 in the 9th. Yuck! One of those Report evenings where I get to tally a crop of losses. 😅
  3. The Biscuits already have Jadher batting second in their line-up. 1-for-3, 1 RBI in his debut. You love to see it! Biscuits lead Columbus 7-1.
  4. Sounds lose 1-0. Black managed to poke a two out single into shallow CF. Dalbec grounded out weakly to SS.
  5. 8th batter for Mercado after the walk. That's 3 hits, 2 BB, 1 HR, 1 SF, 1 WP for Mercado in 2/3 IP so far. And he misses high and outside. He's falling behind every batter. He is now into the 30's and he is less than 50% strikes. AND, he falls to 2-0. Ugly.
  6. Mercado sees the bases loaded. With one down, he gets the deep sac fly to CF and Anderson uncorks a high school showcase throw into the dugout behind 3B. LOL. Muddies now trail 4-1. Not a fun inning for Mercado. That was an 8-pitch sac fly. Mercado sits 91 and his off-speed doesn't appear all that impressive to me. There just isn't all that much there tonight. He falls behind 3-0 to the next batter.
  7. Welcome to the sixth inning Enderson Mercado. He is greeted with a first pitch pull shot long ball inside the LF foul pole. Belt high inside off-speed pitch. Golfed over that wall. It was a hanger but he turned on that as it was tailing inside. Mudcats trail again 2-1.
  8. RHP Travis Smith touching 95 mph in the 5th inning is a nice development.
  9. The amount of strikes I've seen called balls agains the Brewers affiliates this early week is uncanny. Gorgeous first pitch slider on the outer half for Smith. Knee high. Ump sits there like a stone. Ball 1. Anderson makes a beautiful run down catch of a ball hit deep to the alley the next pitch.
  10. Bases juiced. WP scores Adamczewski. Walks Anderson. 1-1. Bases juiced again. And, Di Turi has a really poor AB batting from the right side. Ugly ugly AB. swung and K'd at a slider inside and in the dirt (sword). Then swings and misses a change-up outside. Didn't make contact the entire AB.
  11. 106 mph 2-2 single to RF for Made. Adamczewski is on board for the 3rd time in 3 AB. Men on 1st and 2nd. One down for Peña.
  12. Spain had consecutive OF PO's and he gets the leading Sac Fly to deep CF. 4-3 Shuckers. You have to love it. Meanwhile, a bunch of seeing eye weak contact has the RailRiders up 1-0 via sac fly. Two down. And we'll see a pitching change.
  13. Yup. Discussed it in last night's report. Shuckers play Montgomery Last week of August too.
  14. Darrien Miller just tied it up with a double deep into the RF corner - it may have been a deep single and a fielding error (?). He scores Pratt (single to RF) and Murray (3-2 BB). 3-3 game now in the 4th.
  15. Double to the RF warning track over the RF'ers head as he was, logically, playing in. Kahle will sneak up on us all! Feisty!
  16. Boy these Tyler Black AB's are painful tonight. He looks absolutely befuddled with the bat in his hand.
  17. Yup. 3-1 count. Took a strike looking inside. Took a strike looking at a 95 mph heater on the outer black. Close call but you can't take that one. Caminiti is a very tough lefty on lefty match-up but Walling has been in a real slump for quite awhile.
  18. That was a really poor inning for Wichrowski but he benefits from two put outs from Spain in RF. After the DP, Wichrowski walks the next batter. Bases juiced yet again. He then gives up a 3-2 single into RF. SPain guns down the second runner trying to score in a bang-bang play. Beautiful tag my Miller who appeared to get the lead hand just before it touched home plate. 3-1 deficit. On to the 4th.
  19. Big DP for Wichrowski. The runner goes from 3B on a shallow pop fly to RF. Spain and Miller combine to gun him down and tag the runner before the plate. Two down. Still 2-1. Runners on 1st and 2nd.
  20. Station-to-station the Wahoos are ambling on. Another single. A 2-2 liner to LF. 2-1 Wahoos. Still nobody out.
  21. With runners on 1st and 2nd, in a 3-2 count, Wichrowski walks the bases full. And, a weakly hit reach poke blooper into shallow CF ties the game 1-1. Bases stay juiced. Nobody out. 1-1 game now.
  22. A bunt advances both runners. Di Turi makes the nice charging play with a solid throw for the out at 1B. Smith throws a massive WP to the backstop but Walther and Smith somehow get the runner in a bang-bang play at the plate. Impressive. Two down. I have no idea how they got him but it must have been a great bounce. AND, Smith escapes via a ground out to 3B. They stay in a 1-0 deficit. Big work there.
  23. AND, now Made's turn to take the routine and get eaten up. These are bad errors. That ball couldn't have been hit more than 50 mph. Made charged it a bit slowly and was eaten up on the bounce. A routine play once again botched by the young'ns. Tough game for Made so far. Swinging K. Fly out. Now a fielding error.
  24. A lead off single off of Smith is compounded by a silly fielding error from CF Jose Anderson. He let's a very weakly hit roller somehow go under his glove and the runner is in scoring position. Ugly play.
  25. Shuckers are on the board first in Pensacola via a Luis Lara deep sac fly to LF. He scores Resituyo after he had just stolen 3rd base. 1-0 Shuckers.
