  1. Brewers fans, I'm disappointed in you. After taking the prospect voting crown the last two times, you're letting Twins fans take a commanding lead in voting numbers this time around. Are you all soooooo bored that this farm is so good and interesting? Shame on you!
  2. Curt Hogg of The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel caught some quotes from Brewers General Manager Matt Arnold on trading Freddy Peralta. Long story short, it's unlikely (as should be the case). Peralta's guaranteed contract ends after the season, but it includes a ridiculously cheap team option for 2026, which the Brewers will surely pick up following the season. While Arnold said it's unlikely Peralta will be traded, he couched his statement in GM-speak: “Obviously, it’s important for us to never close the door, but Freddy means the world to our franchise and all of us,” Arnold said. “I would expect him to be a big part of this going down the stretch. It’s something that we can never exclusively say no on anything. But he just means so much to so many people here. I’m thrilled to have him as a part of this team.” After the Josh Hader debacle of 2022, it's hard to envision the Brewers front office trading one of the leaders of their pitching staff amid a race for the division title. If Peralta is to be traded before he enters free agency, this offseason is the most likely time for such trade rumors to emerge. View full rumor

  4. Added, and... yes? I never thought of that before. I'll keep it in mind for next time.
  5. Just put Tyler Black five times.
  6. On top of all that, some players just put their hand up in celebration. It might look like a "point", but it's just an arm up, celebrating. All sorts of players do it differently, and for different reasons.
  7. I can definitely do B, that's a really fun idea! Probably better to wait until the end of the season, though.
  8. There's obviously bias in the answer, but that doesn't mean it's uninteresting. There are quite visible trends in the data based on how the Brewers are playing at the time. It's more of a morale check than a standard poll question.
  9. Welcome to BF! Extending any pitcher is something of a fool's errand, but every team still needs pitchers. And MIz's upside is so high that the risk is worth it, IMO.
  10. To be fair, I think we all agree there is a higher class of baseball fan on this website. While criticism of guys like Adames is rare here (but occasionally happens), just pop on over to X or Reddit to find plenty of moronic takes of that kind. They absolutely exist within Brewers fandom.
  11. Unlike other publications, Brewer Fanatic enables all users to contribute to our top prospect rankings. Anyone with a Brewer Fanatic account can participate and give their input on who they think should be in the Brewers' top prospects list. Before you vote, you can hit our top prospects page for the latest stats and news on Brewers prospects, while on the voting page, every name is a clickable link that brings up their current stat card. Voting is simple, just follow the instructions below! Here's the rundown on how to participate: 1. You must have an account and be logged in to vote. If you don't have an account, click here. It literally requires 60 seconds to create an account. 2. Review our current top 20 prospect list, catch up on stats, rankings, etc. (you can do so from the voting page link below) 3. Have your prospect list in your filthy little paws? Then flip on over to the new prospect voting page (after reading the rest of this, please). https://brewerfanatic.com/prospect-voting 4. Voting is super simple; you drag and drop players in the order you wish them to be. After you move a prospect, the list automatically renumbers so you don't lose track of the order. This works on mobile devices, but it's a *vastly* better experience on desktop. Sorry, that's just how this kind of thing works. There's no excellent way to make something like this as awesome on a phone screen. 5. Each prospect has a comment section where you can add any commentary you have on that player. At the bottom of the list, there is a general comment section to explain over-arching things you'd like to mention. 6. Don't see a prospect you want to put on the list? Just pop back here and give me a mention (in a comment, start typing @Brock Beauchamp and select my name after it appears). Please mention the prospect you would like added, and I will do so as soon as possible. 7. Once you're done with all of it, click Save. You've now voted! 8. When the voting closes, a new thread will automatically generate in this forum with all of your rankings and comments for everyone to read and talk about. 9. You can only vote once. If you have voted in error, pop back here and tag Brock, asking to have your vote deleted. It will be removed, and you can vote again. Voting closes Tuesday, July 22nd.
  12. I'm 100% against the Brewers signing Episcope because, having typed his name approximately 50 times during the draft and never getting it right even once, I resent the hell out of him.* *I'm sure he's a perfectly fine human being, but I still resent him
  13. Why are we acting like Woodruff's rehab contract is unusual? Lots of teams have leaned into signing rehab contracts, and about $15m is the going rate for the second year. It appears there is a lot of goodwill between the Brewers and Woody. He really got the shaft by blowing out his shoulder moments before free agency. He has been in the Brewers org for a decade, it makes all the sense in the world that he wants to rehab in the org he knows and trusts. From the Brewers perspective, Woody is a good pitcher and human, one you want in your org for as long as you can afford him. Nobody owes anybody anything in this situation, as we're talking about grown-ass adults making business decisions and being paid handsomely for it.
  14. That soon? Yikes. I'm gonna pull him now, then. Thanks.
  15. Yeah, I'm not the best at checking graduations, but usually catch them within a couple of weeks. Miz is still only at 25 innings, so he has a ways to go. Probably a month.
