  1. Sorry, some of the permissions were messed up so many of you couldn't see anything on that page. If you look now, the page will render as expected.
  2. Now you have me thinking so this is how I'd rank all ten teams: 1. Brewers 2. White Sox 3. Twins (2 & 3 might flip given what I've seen from the two teams this season) 4. Cardinals 5. Guardians 6. Tigers 7. Cubs 8. Royals 9a. Pirates 9b. Reds With four of the top six in the ALC, I think I'll stick with that being the slightly better division overall but unless the Twins' pitching somehow keeps up its torrid pace (unlikely) or the White Sox completely reverse the slide they're in (more likely but woof, that defense), the Brewers are a notch above anyone in the ALC.
  3. I can't wait for the pitch clock next season because if a baseball game is going to be bad, at least have the decency to not last long.
  4. I keep checking in on my phone while at a basketball game and yikes… is this game as boring as the box score looks?
  5. I think the Brewers are better than anyone in the ALC but both the Twins and White Sox are better than the Cardinals.
  6. Yeah, I'd consider anything less than the Brewers making the postseason two out of the next three years a failure. Their only immediate concern is the Cardinals, though the Pirates might be competitive in three years.
  7. It's one of the centrals, for sure, though I'm not sure which one. I'd probably lean toward the NL Central being worse simply because it has a weaker bottom end of the division. Cincinnati is absolutely terrible and so are the Pirates whereas the Tigers and Royals are just kinda bad (and the Tigers might end up being somewhat competent).
  8. I've been itching to roll this out since the site changeover and I was finally able to do so thanks to the great work by @reillymcshane and his prospect voting. https://brewerfanatic.com/milwaukee-brewers-top-prospects/2022/ Take a look and give whatever feedback you have but I have two questions: 1. Should we update the voting on this every month or every two months? 2. Any of you prospect hounds interested in doing the maintenance on this every month? It's a paid role but I can't promise a lot, especially in the early days of working on it. Maybe $20-ish a month with the ability to grow significantly over time (initially, we'll be giving over 100% of our revenue from this back to whomever chooses to maintain it with hopes it can break-even soon and then grow from there).
  9. It's pretty damned hard to complain about these results, even if the schedule was quite easy. The thing is that if you don't win against the bad teams, you certainly won't win against the good teams. So now the Brewers face a tougher schedule in May: CIN, ATL, MIA, WAS, SDP, STL. Obviously, you have to bank some wins against Cincy but what do we expect from the Brewers in May?
  10. Cool. You're still an overly negative person and I'm quite sure Cain played for the Brewers multiple years and was healthy and productive. And the reality is that if you think the fifth year of a five year contract is going to be worth its value to the team, you need to step back and take a look at how baseball contracts work because that's rarely the case. You can either choose to accept the good front-end of a contract while accepting the bad back-end of a contract and you can just stop complaining, because that's how baseball works, or you can keep doing this boring schtick. Maybe the contract rules should change, maybe they shouldn't, but that has little to do with your incessant complaining.
  11. I agree. At this point, I don't see a reason why he can't keep struggling through his issues. This rotation is more than rock-solid, they don't need multiple swingmen. If you can stash a struggling pitcher for easy spots, go for it.
  12. Head home boys, Burnes on the mound tomorrow, reach for the brooms.
  13. Damn, get the ball over the plate and end the game, Cousins. Just making Suter warm up is failing to do your job.
  14. Does it matter? If you have to ask that question, it probably doesn't matter.
  15. The thing is he already made a bunch of money,. It seems weird to chase maybe a couple of million more to play for the Cubs given their current state. Hell, at that point, were the Angels not in the mix? They always have money and at least you get to play with Ohtani and Trout.
  16. I honestly do not understand why Stroman signed with the Cubs... I mean, I get it because "money" but why would anyone in his late prime years sign with the Cubs right now?
  17. A case study on when your pitcher isn't "on" tonight:
  18. Meh, a boring take. Yeah, he's an injury risk... he's an old dude. But he was also incredibly resilient before 2020.
  19. I think the Twins say no. Pretty sure the Twins say no. But it never hurts to make the call, right? ?
  20. Damn. Cain had a 106.2 mph exit velo and a 14 degree launch angle on that, basically perfect contact.
  21. Just the fact that the guy is performing in CF in the final year of a big contract as a 36 year old is a huge win. More than 50% of the time, a team is writing off this year as a cost of doing business for the first 3-4 years of the contract.
  22. Damn, Lorenzo, I don't know how you do that being 147 years old.
