  1. It's just a fun, silly poll mostly. We're playing around with polling as a first step in new interactivity. Ultimately, my goal is to start offering picks to click, players of the game, and other more nuanced stuff.
  2. The Twins have laughable first base performance. The Red Sox are absolutely hopeless there. The Padres are trotting out Luis Arraez. Lots of teams that expect to compete could use a competent first baseman, it has been a weakness around baseball for awhile now.
  3. I think Hoskins might bring decent value but only because the first base situation around the league is so dire. Lots of competitors looking at first saying "why do we suck so hard at this position?"
  4. I get that starters suck the third time through but Murphy’s not going to have a bullpen by the middle of July at this rate. At some point, you just need a guy to throw innings.
  5. I wouldn’t have pulled Patrick but going with Hall for three innings worked. But it was a little risky. If Hall goes out there and can’t throw a strike, you’re screwed.
  6. I haven't been impressed with Murphy but no way has he cost the team 4-5 wins this season. It's basically impossible for a manager to have that large of an impact in 50 games.
  7. If I'm the Brewers I'm not making a decision either way until July 20th or later... unless things go REALLY well or REALLY badly between now and then (unlikely). The Brewers are one of those on-the-cusp teams that won't make a decision until the final days before the deadline. In most years, I might be a buyer but given the absolute menace that is the NL West this season, it might be prudent to sit out 2025 and do a light sell.
  8. After a brutal start to his MLB career, is Durbin turning the corner?
