  1. Lopez has been a mystery this year. He was elite last year and his underlying numbers aren’t much different; he’s just getting shelled every third start or so.
  2. LOL, I'm listening to the Twins broadcast so I didn't hear that but yes, hard to call that 2-2 pitch anything but a strike.
  3. Like most city connects, I think they're pretty meh. I like that they actually put thought and effort into the design, I'll give them credit for that. Little Minnesota touches all over the jerseys. But I hate that they essentially made them Brewers colors. Just no reason to take that route, replace the yellow with orange and it's an entirely different look.
  4. The Twins should not wear their city connects while playing the Brewers.
  5. Both, I think. Ricketts won’t allow Hoyer to spend where the Cubs should be spending and Hoyer is very conservative about how he hands out that money.
  6. Jed Hoyer is conservative to a fault. He needs to take bigger risks, he has the ability to play in deeper water than he does.
  7. I think it's fair to be a little down on Peralta but not excessively so. I don't expect him to be an ace; he's a little too flawed for that to be a reasonable expectation. But I do expect him to be better than average, somewhere around respectable #2 starter level. And while he has shown his typical flashes of brilliance, he all-too-often falls into those epic innings where he can't find the strike zone, throws non-competitive pitches, and lobs over a meatball. He's a very frustrating pitcher to watch over a full season. He has all the pieces to make it work.
  8. Absolutely, and it should be more than that given baseball's economic system and the sheer market weight of the Cubbies.
  9. As I currently own and operate a Cubs site, I won't publicly dance on their grave. But damn, are fans up in arms about that team. And they should be. The Cubs should be spending more money than they are and I'm not seeing a lot to like about Hoyer's administration. He's not terrible or anything but his approach isn't exactly inspiring, either.
  10. Walking the line on the Garrett Mitchell one but it earned an LOL from me.
  11. It's a heckuva deal. 13. The Brewers need Colin Rea, certified stopper, to get them back on track going into the break.
  14. Getting a crash course on why contact pitchers are dangerous, even in front of a great defense.
  15. I think that is the correct course of action, yes. You might want to bump the publish time way out into the future as well. To be honest, I don't use that functionality often (what we have for the front page is quite different) so you might want to play around with it a bit to find the best workflow.
  16. In the blog creation page, do you have these two options just above the save/publish button?
  17. Be nice to see Freddy head into the break on a positive note.
  18. Brewers let Skenes off the hook in the last three innings and now find themselves in a bit of a pickle.
  19. I thought the same but Murphy also needs to get length out of his rotation. It's not an easy decision.
  20. If you can't beat Paul Skenes, getting him out of the game is a solid plan B.
