  1. Yes. I'm not sure how in the world this is the FIRST thread of its kind, but this needs to end ASAP. If we were blowing teams out it would be one thing, but we are constantly in close games that either do or threaten to go to extra innings, so we are always in that situation where we have to choose between letting the pitcher (or a different pitcher http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif) bat or using up a bench player.
  2. No harm no foul, but imagine what happens if that sky-high pop up turns into a homerun. Hey, Bush gave up just one run in that inning... I was really expecting a meltdown there.
  3. Man oh man, those were fast hands, Rickie!
  4. Sadly, i won't be attending tonight. But in a month i make the move back from southern cal and i'll be a ballpark bum the entire summer.
  5. Man, Woogie, you are everywhere! Thanks.
  6. Any word on the Phillies lineup yet? My girlfriend is in love with Geoff so i got her first row tickets in right field for her birthday. Hopefully he's going to start.
  7. How can you blame this one on Torres? And Doug Melvin? Go take a time out. Torres was in the game to bail Ned out, and he failed. But that doesn't mean that the loss is his fault. That's a pretty hard situation to just walk into after the game should have already been over. Positives: We evened up the season series vs. Cincy and went 5-4 on the road vs. the Mets, Cardinals, and Reds.
  8. aghghghghgh yuck... i can't believe we let a crap team like Cincy weasel their way back into that one..
  9. Could we keep that graph updated? That things neat.
  10. Gagne has pitched very well to this point. This one is all on Ned.
  11. Well, we lose. Plain and simple, our chances for winning have got to be rock bottom right now.
  12. Oh no, Gagne's wiping off his cleats.... chicago flashback!
  13. Why are you guys so negative on Stetter? While i trust Shouse a little more (and believe me, that took a LONG time), Stetter looks great against lefties. Okay, so, when is Billy up?
  14. So many soft ground balls, Rickie... When's it gonna be your time?
  15. Gallardo is a horse. El Caballo es Gallardo.
  16. So i know it's early, but what is the consensus on Gagne now? I believe he is light years ahead of what we would have had with Turnbow, and probably a step below Coco in the "stuff" category. But he still has that presence on the mound, and he can still shut it down when he has to. He's only cost us one loss with a 6.00 ERA coming into tonight. Hoffman has already blown at least two saves. I think we'll be okay with Gagne. I'd love to re sign him for a couple more years but i don't think that's possible... We'll see. I just love that he can throw strikes when he wants to and the same can be said about Riske and Torres for the most part. That's where we struggled with guys like Turnbow.
  17. I'm not too bummed about giving up a couple singles and a walk to the "heart" of the Reds order. Now just deal with the scrubs and walk out of here with first blood. 5-1, 5-2, 5-3, 5-4... i really don't care just get us the W Eric.
  18. They are already talking about TIVOing the spring Ohio State football game tomorrow... My suggestion for Reds fans, just go watch it.
  19. So THIS is what it's like to watch the Brewers batters against a LOOGY from the other teams point of view... I feel cheap.. and like i got away with something...
  20. Okay, it's no longer cute. I like Stetter but he needs to come out after this lefty...
  21. Oh these reds broadcasters are just awful... First Stetter has OBVIOUS control problems after walking Dunn and going 2-1 to the next guy when some of those pitches were VERY borderline. Now they are trying to say it is nerves because he is just in AWE over the fact that he's pitching in GAB against the one and only Cincinnati Reds.. give me a break..
