These last three games have NL West baseball written all over them.

I post on another forum and i have this ticker. The Brewers reign atop the NL Central is about to be exactly three months in about two days. That's half a season. I know we've been in the lead pretty much all year, and the year is half way over, but it still kind of shocked me to see that. Here's to another three months.

Our offense is adequate right now. It can't always be on fire. The big thing we have going for us right now is our starting pitching is stepping up. That's huge with Benny taking some time off. Even on an off night for our offense, if we can keep the good pitching going we will win most games.

Do you think if we just didn't swing at all DD could walk us in about 6 runs?

Rockies fans must hate Coco. Last year, in Denver, TGjr slipped in center field giving one of their players a triple to lead off the ninth. We were only up 1 i believe and Frankie got out of that one too! That was the game that really confirmed my happiness in regards to the Carlos Lee trade.

Thank you Coco. Like Bill Simmons says, "Always an adventure with Coco on the mound."

Did the cubs really just score 6 runs that quick? what the heck, man. They are not a good team what is going on? Why does everything go right for them all of a sudden.

We are putting up a 2 spot in the 4th. Then we are going to put up some more in the 5th and 7th. At least 4 runs tonight so all Supp has to do is hold them down. Not bad so far.

Let's get the second half started on a solid outing by Big Ben and some good hitting. Hey, just curious, but did the Brewers all-stars get to ride Mark A.'s private jet to San Francisco this year or did they not all fit?

At first glance i thought DH stood for that thing the AL uses to increase fan support and revenue.

That whole All Star week in Milwaukee was pretty amazing, excluding the (non) ending. The homerun derby was one of the best ever. Hopefully by the time we get another one there will be a beer mug in left field.

Braun is going to catch him, i just have a feeling.
  13. steve267268
did someone say meltdown? not how i wanted to end this half.

We may be getting shut down right now... But there is absolutely no way they shut us out. We are going to score at least two runs in this game. Knowing that, we must hold them to the one they already have. Certainly doable.

    This kid is AWESOME!

You've got to be kidding me. How on earth did that dp just happen? At the very least Counsell should still be standing at first with Hart and Hardy ready to drive him in. ughhhh Also, does Cappy really have a beard? Wow. A beard sportin', segway ridin' lefty

So far it seems like we're playing some true Sunday morning baseball out there. I really hate anyone who ever played for the Reds. They always seem to go long on us.
  18. steve267268
Your friend is definitly confused. What's important is that he knows that being a Cubs is a decision, and not something he was born with.
  19. steve267268
You would think that having Suppan on the mound vs. some scrub would be encouraging, but i don't have a good feeling about this one. I guess i don't really trust Suppan at this point, but we'll see.

Happy and confident here. But content? Nope. We need more.

So i know you are all wondering what you are going to do for the next 15 minutes while waiting for the game to start. Here it is: UK Cricket Fourm - Flintoff Better than Botham Flintoff will never compare to Botham. Now, if i just knew who either of these two chaps are.
  24. steve267268
Lefty on the mound? Losing streak over.
  25. steve267268
Well, we are going to need to bust out the bats now. If any team can do it, we can.
