  1. It's games like these that make you LOVE baseball tonight. You just know that they will show Prince going off... if they show any highlights at all.
  2. I am struggling to understand why people still even bring up Krynzel's name when talking about players to bring up. Learn to see sarcasm in the absence of blue font, you must. Gross i was serious about, Krynzel no. I know everyone says outfield depth, outfield depth, but is this really the plan now? Just wait for Carlos and Geoff to leave and bank on Hart and Cruz and Gwynn? I'm serious now, is that the consensus, that Hart, Cruz, and Gwynn are going to be studs some day?
  3. It's worth noting that Gallardo has a single tonight as well as 6 shutout innings now. Sidenote: Noochie Varner is playing for Chat.
  4. Only a few K's on the night, but so what.. Frankly, he's not a "K Guy" anyway.. i'm amazed that he's on pace for almost 200 this year. But he was definitly solid... Thanks Mr. Cap! We salute you.
  5. I'm going to be hung for this.. but.. why not Gross as an every day centerfielder? He's still young, he can definitly hit, he has a good arm and he plays solid d. anyone have a reason why not? of course, this is only until Dave Krynzel is ready..................
  6. I forgot that Damian was on base for Gabe's shot. A nice easy game this has become.. *suspicious eyes back and forth*
  7. So, Prince is now on pace for about 30 homers and Carlos is on pace for 50. Wonderful... we're the Texas Rangers.
  8. By the way, a certain pitcher making his Huntsville debut tonight is DEALING. Player IP H R ER BB SO HR ERA Gallardo 5.0 2 0 0 0 6 0 0.00
  9. Well, my week long "Brewer Boycott" lasted a whole 1/2 inning... i would have watched the game from the begining, but i was caught up at youtube. Check out Bill Simmons 33 greatest youtube videos... only do this if you have some spare time.. it's wonderful to say the least. It's on the front page of espn.com
  10. If we lose this game today, thus losing the series to the Royals, and to THAT lineup, i'll take a week off from this team.. call it a break.
  11. I can't believe Doug Davis just gave them that lead back.. Thanks Doug.. you are so worthless sometimes...
  12. Come on Doug, now is NOT the time to let the wheels fall off.. please oh please give us a quality start and i will be oh so happy.
  13. i said it before, and i'll say it again.... man, do i love playin' Kansas City!
  14. Pitch 2: In play, run-scoring play are there greater word combinations than this?
  15. I saw that too... he may be right, but when he mentioned the fact that we traded Overbay because he would some day command a high salary and didn't even mention Prince, i discounted everything he said.
  16. his driving in runs is pretty much the reason he's on the trading block.. Great player = huge contract huge contract = money needed to pay that contract Brewers = small market = no money Carlos Lee = Trade Block
  17. here is a nice 3-post sequence from yesterday's IGT at "Royals Corner": Re: 6/23/06 - Brewers at Royals -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Well after 3 games against a minor league team, we are back playing in the bigs. Bring back Pitt!! Re: 6/23/06 - Brewers at Royals -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Oh boy... Sonic Slam Inning. I predict we hit a home run - Johh Buck (the use of the expression "oh boy" really amuses me... happy go lucky and inevitable failure all rolled into one.) Re: 6/23/06 - Brewers at Royals -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I predict a few more weak grounders and maybe a few hits that result in a few more stranded base runners. Man this game has been agonizing.
  18. I don't really believe in the good Bush/bad Bush thing, real bad 1st inning trying to locate that curve, but has since closed it down.
