  1. Feels good to get the calls this time around. Freaking Astros.
  2. wow.. almost... time to grab something to eat.. probably make a burger.. lots of onions.. what are all of you guys eatin?
  3. Jenkins ALWAYS seems to get down 0-2 it amazes me how much he comes back from that 0-2 when he is on his game. Come on now Carlos.. let's see a Salami.
  4. I was referring to Tony Gwynn Senior.. not junior and i was only half kidding.
  5. Brady Clark.. what a fluke last year was.. prediction: GIDP
  6. Slap Shot time! or maybe.. a KNUCKLE PUCK!
  7. Wow, what a bunt by Rickie.. and that speed!
  8. Speaking of the Carlos trade. It just goes to show you how good DM is. First he trades Richie and in the long run gets this in return: Chris Capuano Gabe Gross Zach Jackson Dave Bush Jorge de la Rosa Tomo Ohka Chad Moeller Can you believe that? I'm sure you can... Then, he trades for a player named Carlos Lee. Sure, we all love Richie, but Lee's numbers are not that far off of Sexsons. I'm not gonna get down and dirty with the stats, but value wise, these players are pretty close. What does DM give up for Carlos? A leadoff hitter and a solid-at-best reliever. It worked out great for the white sox, they didn't need a power hitter, they needed speed. But talk about being in the right place at the right time for DM.
  9. Dunn needs to NOT get a strike tonight, unless we are up by 5 or more.
  10. I think they all have that "Buyers Pride" about Preston. I'm sure they were all excited to get him and bragged about it constantly when he started hitting. Kind of like me when i commit to a new gaming system.. Playstation? puuullleeeeaaaaaaassseeee
  11. alright! We did what we needed to do tonight. Pettite is on, so we work the counts a little, get a few hits, tire him out, even score a couple. Then we attack the bullpen with some clutch hitting with RISP. Solid relief and thats the game. Love it.
  12. I want to love Capellan, but other than a strong fastball, what does he have? He has a decent slider. But what was it that made him such a highly touted prospect? Oh yeah.. the 100mph fastball that doesn't exist. Do you think he doesn't have the ability to throw it anymore, or has he been ordered to tone it down and get some accuracy.
  13. gotta wonder what in the heck Jeff was thinking there... I still don't feel like this lead is safe... but i guess we can keep Cappy in there.. just don't walk anyone Chris! See if they can hit 4 solo homeruns off you.
  14. If this was Miller Park i'd let Cappy go 8, maybe 9... but i just don't know. I guess as long as Taveras doesn't get on, let him challenge Berkman and Ensberg. He owns Ensberg.
  15. YEAAAHHHHHHHHHHH Now let's get him some runs boys!!!
  16. this is usually where he loses control.. if he hits someone, we gotta take him out.
  17. One more inning from Cappy, get an insurance run or two, put in Wise, then the Bow
  18. let's go chris, take a lesson from your new best friend Tomo.
  19. What's wrong with Texas? Nothing really, except for i guess the people that live there.
