  1. Don't worry... this was just one of those games we were supposed to lose. Maddux, Bush's first start at Wrigley, Prince due for a bad game, JDLR implodes with 2 outs. Game looked lost from the start, to me. Now these next two games we REALLY need to win. We cannot keep giving up 2 for 1's to our Central Division rivals. If Davis and Cappy are on, or just not totally off, we got a good shot to take this series.
  2. Walker at-bat... Fan Reaction: Gone Where it was hit: Nowhere close to the warning track
  3. Prince will have those at bats. I still think he's going to hit over .300 this year with his approach, though.
  4. I just bought MVP Baseball 2005 on Ebay because i lost my old copy. Updating the rosters MANUALLY spanned this entire week. A little bit each night. Thanks Xbox live for shutting down MVP's auto updates.. i guess they had to.. ANYWAY, i set up my rotation: Sheets, Davis, Bush, Cappy, Ohka... Just got done playing my third game of the season which was last years schedule. Bush vs. Maddux...... I got no-hit by Maddux. Actually, Carlos hit a double and reached third on an error by the centerfielder but they didn't count it as a hit for some reason.. lost 1 to 0. Bush was strong... 12 K's. And that, is your MVP preview.
  5. Let's get an extra base hit here Alice in Chains Mojo! edit: took the large picture out p.s. It didn't work because thoe whole key to AIC mojo is that it must include the full band with long hair. How stupid of me.
  6. Holy Clark! just the rest has added about 8 feet to his usual left-field-lofter.
  7. As a pinch hitter, Bill Hall is: 0-4 this year with 3 K's 1-15 with 1BB and 6 K's last year 7-29 with 1BB and 11 K's in 2004 It's not just the extremely low average, its the K's. When you got bases loaded or RISP, there's not ALWAYS going to be 2 outs, and you need to at least make contact. MATTTTY WISE!! since that mound meeting in game 1 he has looked incredible!
  8. I was completely convinced he was going to strike out so rather than watch i just closed my eyes and listened for the call.... that was just awesome. And now JJ might be heating up it looks like. If Benny is solid next inning we got a good chance.
  9. He's had some good stuff today, but every now and again he'll leave one out there. Looks like his speed is getting better. Had a couple of 96'ers that inning.
  10. anyone catch that shot of Turnbow sleeping? awesome
  11. fans at the park made me believe that had a shot
  12. they want nothing to do with Chad Moeller
  13. Benny's fastball not all that fast today. Topping out around 92 it looks like.
  14. Our hitters need to relax when Ben pitches. Instead of thinking of the game as tied, just figure that all they need to do is throw up a crooked number one time and that should pretty much be it.
  15. great hitting sequence by hardy slap one to right, go down for one to left.
  16. lol, the braves announcer just said, "Let's keep an eye on Ben Sheets. He keeps stretching his back between pitches. Remember, he had back problems last year."
  17. Uh oh, almost had another crime scene investigation over that foul ball. Two guys went for it. Did one guy have his hand on it first ? i think we are safe, fsn north has the day off.
  18. Well that's about as good a first inning as you can have with only 1 hit and no runs. He threw 20 pitches and Lee is seeing the ball fairly well.
  19. Ben's really got his stuff.. Wow If we can just get a few runs for him today everything will be alright. The only bad thing about Benny is that since he just has the fastball and the curve hitters sometimes key in on that fastball and put it over the left field wall. But that's what you get with a power pitcher.
  20. Ben Sheets + Miller Park Shadows = 15+ K's
  21. Sosa is one of those hot/cold guys. i know he throws pretty hard. how about 18 k's again from Benny? Is that too much to ask?
  22. Woah, 1:05 Eastern start tomorrow? That's 10AM here on the west coast. I have to be somewhere by 130 so that works out perfectly. So Brady and Rickie are horrid at the plate and we are winning games... Brewer style!
  23. You know, if our starter would just go 7 innings every night we would be in good shape! Great outing by Tomo, Cappy, and entertaining as always by Turnbow. He hit 100MP H's again! TBS tomorrow, and what a coincidence, i have off!
  24. alright!! 2 down, 1 to go for the SWEEEEEEEEEP! it's okay, i don't believe in jinxs unless they favor our team.
