  1. Had about 12" here just west of Oshkosh. One drift in the back yard is 5' tall, the one on the driveway was 3.5' tall. Thank goodness we were able to purchase a new snow blower on Monday morning!!
  2. First off...nice work on the double usage of "flounder" in one post...bravo! I agree wholeheartedly on this idea as well. Sign Latos, hope he pans out and then trade him at the deadline. If not? Yay...better draft position!!
  3. I'm sure glad that Stearns is working on that SS shortage that is currently plaguing the Brewers... /sarcasm
  4. I'm sorry...but that "slide" was as dirty as it gets. This isn't MMA, this is playoff baseball. To completely jump over the base and collide with the planted legs of a fielder is inexcusable. That's not even playing hard...it's playing jerk-off dirty baseball.
  5. 1. Orlando Arcia 2. Brett Phillips 3. Jorge Lopez 4. Trent Clark 5. Kodi Medeiros 6. Zach Davies 7. Clint Coulter 8. Josh Hader 9. Gilbert Lara 10. Devin Williams 11. Wei-Chung Wang 12. Monte Harrison 13. Demi Orimoloye 14. Michael Reed 15. Jake Gatewood 16. Marcos Diplan 17. Cody Ponce 18. Tyrone Taylor 19. Adrian Houser 20. Victor Roache 21. Jorge Ortega 22. Cy Sneed 23. Taylor Williams 24. Troy Stokes 25. Carlos Leal
  6. I don't care what position a guy plays right now. BPA all draft please...
  7. I hit on 3/4. Surprised by Reed's AAA numbers. For some reason I continuously overlook him...
  8. I read that story when it was originally posted but reading it again brought the same tears to my eyes.
  9. Screw putting him in the front office – put this man out to pasture. Talk about an embarrassment over the last several days! First the debacle with the Mets and now missing the boat with the Cardinals. What a disgrace!!
  10. If I am Mark A. this may be the last straw.
  11. I'd think that Lucroy has the ilk with the team to sit Carlos down and let him know that his actions were childish and hurt the teams chances (albeit slim) to win that game.
  12. This is the exact trend that I want to see going forward. AA or A+ returns with tons of upside...
  13. I'd ask for 2 of [berrios, Stewart, Meyer, Burdi] plus probably another lower prospect or two. Keep loading up on the pitching!!
  14. I wonder if this becomes one of those system changing deals. Fiers, Gomez and KRod would be a hell of a package addition to a team that is only 4 games out of the wildcard.
  15. It is crazy to see that Lara is still hitting .370 with an OPS of .884 after 19 games. That is crazy for a kid that young...
  16. Ditto I'm greedy as I want a Bucks-style tank job (top 3 pick) with a lineup as follows: Segura Gennett Braun Davis Rogers/Clark Perez Maldonado Schafer/anyone else with a glove Pitcher But that's just me... Hammer
  17. I know we will be moving him soon but I will miss him big time. Don't forget that should pave the way for a Logan Schafer return!!! Thanks - I just threw up in my mouth a little. There has to be a better option than Logie-poo. Been there, done that...WAY TOO MANY TIMES.
  18. I only live 30 minutes from Appleton and will ABSOLTELY be at a bunch of games next year. This years team hasn't really pushed my attendance...
  19. "Hellweg's minor league career WHIP is over 1.5. Fulmer's is 1.28 How are they comparable again?" C'mon guys - no need for constant "I've got a bigger ball of knowledge than you" comments. Disagreement is ok...but kicks to the groin seem too much...no? That said, I'm really with JohnBriggs here...Fulmer is exactly the pitcher/type that I would go for from the Mets. They can afford to part with an arm to make a run at it this year. I'd ask for another Rookie level or low A arm as well though...
  20. Per Jon Heyman on twitter and BleacherReport.com (http://bleacherreport.com/milwaukee-brewers) Doug will be moving out of the GM role sometime around the end of the season and that "he’s more likely to shift into a senior capacity than follow Roenicke out of the organization." So, who's going to be the next GM?
  21. I can't believe that people are still adding his entire year-long stat line together for negative arguments with Perez. He wasn't getting consistent playing time before he got to Milwaukee...and that typically kills a young guys stat line.
  22. Well played Invader. It would be nice to start a Transaction Rumor/Proposal for each player that is potentially on the block. Not naming a team in the title but trying to construct potential deals for teams that are potentially in the market for said player instead of having a bunch of x plus x to x for x pieces and getting replies of "that's not enough" and "I wouldn't do that deal because I don't like their system" replies. Does anyone have time for that? Or, mods, is that a viable option?
  23. This is the type of response that would have gotten harsh criticism several years back on the bfan.net forums. If you don't like the proposal from reillymcshane why don't you share what players that you **would** be interested in from the Toronto system? That brings more to the table than "So basically the Brewers are trading an elite centerfielder and a closer who has been pretty good for a bunch of damaged goods?". Just my $.02 "Old guy" Hammer Edit: I decided to take a crack at the Blue Jays minor leagues and would propose a deal that included Pentecost, Miguel Castro (20 y/o RHP in High A), Angel Perdomo (20 y/o LHP in Rookie Ball) and a PTBNL from a list of 3-4 top 30 prospects (maybe from the 2015 draft). Is that enough?
  24. Segura and Gomez to the Mets would be a hell of a way to grab some pitching...
  25. Per Ken Rosenthal Tyler Wagner has gotten the call. Here is his draft write up: ROUND 4: Tyler Wagner - RHP 6'3", 195, R/R, University of Utah Image abc4.com SCOUTING REPORT: Perfect Game (Courtesy of and with permission from Patrick Ebert and the folks at PerfectGame.org): The rangy 6-foot-3, 195-pound Wagner has an explosive arm with a fastball that frequently touches 95 mph and gets on hitters quickly from a three-quarters slot. He also has a second plus pitch in a power slider, giving him two weapons needed to excel as a closer. Wagner had only two saves in 17 appearances in early May, though as his opportunity to close out games was limited. At the same time, Wagner struggles to throw strikes consistently, which led to a 2-5, 3.98 record, while walking 21 and striking out 29 in 32 innings. Had he pitched more like he did in 2011, Wagner might have been a fit as early as the third round, though is still expected to be the state’s top pick. LINKS: Wagner open to closing or starting
