  1. Frelick has really cooled off recently 0.204/0.278/0.224/0.502 in the last 15 games (49 AB).
  2. Excellent read and tackle by Cheney
  3. Well now we have a 2.5 game lead. Things suddenly don’t look like they are going our way anymore.
  4. You wouldn’t need him in the field as he is a classic DH. He would be just what the doctor ordered for the Brewers.
  5. I don’t think so, unless you mean he could replace any one of our outfielders.. 6. Good call. With the AAA stats wiguy94 provided I don’t think Black is ready to play MLB especially in a tight pennant chase. In fact it may be deleterious to Black’s career as baseball is littered with players brought up too early and has caused a lack of confidence that has set them back significantly. Donaldson in a word has been there, has had success in that situation, and is just what the doctor ordered with a power bat and plays much better defense than Black. I’m glad they are rolling the dice with Donaldson.
  7. I wouldn’t put a whole lot of confidence into having a rookie that played most of the year at AA pull the Brewers through a playoff spot.
  8. Do you think our hitting was a 9 game fluke, or can we expect a better offense the remainder or the year?
  9. Vegas won again (and so did the Cubs) 2 out of 3.
  10. This might be one of the strangest Brewer games this year.
  11. Read pages 3 and 4, that should summarize most of the game for you.
  12. Isn’t there a saying, “ Don’t count your chicken before they hatch”. With their series against the Athletics, Rockies and Tigers not to mention the Giants and the Braves, a 4 game lead at this point is not large enough. There are way to many games left…..and the biggest factor, BASEBALL!
  13. They should count at least 2 of those earned runs to Counsell.
  14. I really don’t blame Uribe as much as Counsell. I would have gotten him out of there after the Kim walk. It will be interesting to hear CC’s rationalization at the post-game interview, IF the even ask him that question.
  15. CC must be dreaming of his retirement. 3 walks, a HBP, and 3 WP, even a 2nd grader would know when to pull him out.
  16. Someone wake up CC. Uribe is toast.
  17. Billy Travers was an all-star in 1976 with 15 wins and a 2.81 ERA. Opening day starter in 1977. Alex Grammas ( remember him?) let him throw 155 pitches late in 1977 which probably led to his 2nd TJ surgery. Under George Bamberger he had a 12-11 record with a 4.41 ERA in 1978, 14-8 with a 3.89 ERA in 1979 and 12-6 with an 3.91 ERA in 1980. He signed with the Angles as a FA in 1981 and in his 4th game he left after one batter. They found calcium deposits in his elbow and had another elbow surgery to remove those deposits that off-season. In 2014 he was named as an inaugural inductee to the Brewers Wall of Honor. He was one of the first Brewer successful minor league starting pitchers, but too many elbow injuries waylaid a successful career.
  18. Rowdy is getting Rowdy. Making up for lost time.
