    What I really find perplexing is that Counsell manages his bullpen the same way he did the past 2-3 years as if he still has all-stars Hader and Williams there. Despite trading, Hader 2 months ago he just doesn’t change his strategy. If you don’t have the same players performing at the same level, change it up Craig, don’t be so pigheaded you can’t depend on your bullpen like you did before.

    I really hope that Counsell stays with Burns through 9 if he is still pitching well instead of taking him out.

    One of the most alarming outcomes this year has been Counsell’s unwillingness to even consider a different option in spite of what the previous outcomes have demonstrated. His stubbornness to continue to play Cutch virtually every game, keeping Yelich batting third in the order, Hiura, never getting another arm up in the bullpen and a dozen other things. He showed so much promise at the beginning of his tenure. It seems that he wants to be obstinate just for its own sake. He has been tremendously disappointing.

    Entirely predictable. Counsell has done the same thing all year. You can’t change a tiger’s stripes. Let’s face it, the game has passed him by.
