  1. Ive got a bad feeling about Turnbow vs. Delgado and Encarnacion
  2. Next inning we better send Miller, Prince and Rickie up there. So help me Gpd...if it is Moeller, Magruder and Weeks..
  3. Kane Davis is replacing Tommy Phelps nicely. Pitching like crap, allowing inherited runners to score but having a 1-0 record and aa 0.00 ERA. By the way, nice choke job there with all the strike outs fellas.
  4. Valdez is just the type of washed up, 5.00+ ERA pitcher that would shut us down. It is good to see someone with a respecatable ERA against us, hopefully we can get 5-6 runs today. EDIT: Oh great FLA: RHP Ismael Valdez 1-1, 4.50 ERA in 2005 Has not faced MIL in 2005 MIL: LHP Doug Davis 9-9, 4.15 ERA in 2005 Has not faced FLA in 2005 Valdez traditionally finds ways to beat the Brewers, as he possesses a 6-4 career mark and 3.31 ERA in 68 innings of work against Milwaukee. He dominated the squad in 2004, going 3-1 with a 2.05 ERA, including a complete-game shutout as a member of the San Diego Padres in June.
  5. About some of the posters thinking that I and rluzinski and others were"nagging" Yost" First of all, I dont have cable and was listing to the game on the radio, so I didnt know a LHP was on the mound in the 7th - so that makes sense that Price wasnt put in. I cant speak for the others but when I was "nagging on Yost" I wasnt really compaining or calling him a bad manager or anything like that - I was excited and I wanted to see Prince get an AB (like possibly in the 8th for Jenkins, unless a LHP was still in) and I always want to see JDLR or Capellan get some innings so we know what we have for next year. Everyone just needs to chill out. It was a great played game by the crew and lets hope we can get at least one of the next two.
  6. I guess if now isnt a good time to get the kid (Fielder) some ABs when will it be? Id just like to see him get some action, and in a 11-1 blowout in the 7th inning, why not then?
  7. EARTH TO NED....What about Prince Fielder?? Yeah, just let him rot there...Overbay has been hot all game...
  8. Why is Cappy batting? We are up 9-1 and he has thrown 93 pitches. Let Lehr come in and finish it off, it isnt like Cappy is tossing a shut out.
  9. It is basically a popularity contest and Letsgowings has over 5,000 members. Looks like 2nd place again this year.
  10. Where is the graph that measures fundamentals. you know, those things that every 12 year old is taught. Like bunting, hitting the cutoff man, etc. I'd be we are last if there was a graph, and that is why our record is so bad.
  11. OK, Fundamentals. do you know who is responsible for fundamentals? The manager.
  12. With Chris Magruder it is the "Mouton-effect". The Mouton effect is the propensity the Brewers have for giving someone similar to either James or Lyle Mouton (or both) too many starts in the months of August and September. 2005 "Mouton Award Winner" = Chris Magruder Past winners (Runners up) 2004 - Chris Magruder (Jeff Liefer) 2003 - Mark Smith (Pete Zocollilo) 2002 - Ryan Thompson (Jim Rushford) 2001 - James Mouton (Angel Echavarria) 2000 - James Mouton (Lyle Mouton) 1999 - Lyle Mouton 1998 - Darrin Jackson (Eric Owens) 1997 - Jack Voigt (Todd Dunn) 1996 - Kevin Koslofski So as you can see, there is a long history of the Brewers starting someone like Magruder in the outfiled late in the year.
  13. ok, all I know is in play-run scoring play.
  14. We'll keep you posted, Ry. 3TO up with runners on the corners and one out. Thanks, its like I am stuck at work trying to follow a spring training game right now....
  15. ENOUGH WITH THE TORNADO COVERAGE!!! We get it, there is a tornado, we'll all go down to the basement, just play some baseball!!
  16. Did Jenkins just swing on 3-0??
  17. What the heck is going on in the game, MLB gameday is all messed up and the radio guys are talking about Tornados
  18. How many innings of shut out ball does Francis have to throw to have his ERA below 5.00??
  19. Does it matter?? We cant handle hitters like Ardoin, Quintilla, Hawpe, Holiday and Gonzalez!! Oh ohhhhh o o o http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  20. Hey!! Colorado is closer to first place than we are, that should say something.
  21. CONGRATS TO AARON COOK!!! His ERA is now 4.98. Congrats to the Brewers as well for helping...again.
  22. AARON COOK ERA ALERT!!! Its Down to 5.23!!!!
  23. Wow. The Brewers really do suck. I am starting to come to grips with this fact. Another potent lineup handing one to us.
  24. Wow, so Colorado really IS a hitters park...CONGRATS BEN!!
