  1. Chuckie Carr is a hitting coach. So is Rob Deer.
  2. Two thoughts: --If you're still thinking Hyundai, Amato Hyundai in Milwaukee is advertising "$5000 minimum for your trade." I just heard it on the radio this morning. --I had a Saab once, loved the car, hated the repair bills. The problems were generally minor (windshield fluid pump, electrical short) but the repair bills were crazy. Granted the car was 8-10 years old and had 120k miles on it. Loved driving it, though.
  3. In the bleachers last night it sounded like all of Milwaukee County was doing it. I kind of wished they would not have done it after Braun's HR, it would have been nice to see him come out for a curtain call too, but everyone was already chanting for Prince. I'll be back tonight, hopefully another good game. Last night might have been the most fun game I've seen this year.
  4. Have you ever considered learning to switch hit? If nothing else you'd get more at-bats.
  5. Mmmm...Yuengling. That is good beer. And America's oldest brewery. I've been on a wheat beer kick all summer. Capitol Island Wheat is my favorite, but Woody's Wheat from the Sand Creek Brewing Co. in Black River Falls is pretty good too. If we're talking macros - nothing but the Champaign of Beers for me.
  6. I go to this game every year with a group. This year one guy backed out at the last minute so we have an extra ticket. All we're looking to get is what we paid from a broker - I'm not trying to gouge anyone here. Section W Row 59 We paid $130. Currently on stubhub there are no seats cheaper than $165, so if anyone is looking for a single let me know asap.
  7. warrior-check your inbox.
  8. Nope, they just drive around all day. Each driver has a set loop that they repeat over and over. We used to advertise on them at my last job. The crazy part is that the side costs more than the back. No one gets a good luck at the side, but the back has people following, stopping at lights, etc. Anyway, it was not effective.
  9. I had the same issue yesterday in Safari. I haven't tried Firefox yet, I'm guessing you can do that.
  10. Thread titles in the in-game forum are displayed as the link(http://aodifjopiadfoid), not the title (8/8/07 Brewers vs. Rockies).
  11. Maybe he'll go to Royalfan.net and meet Brewerdad.
  12. I think there are really two issues here. The first is the one that's been raised over and over, that we don't want Yo to turn into Anibal Sanchez next year and get hurt from being overworked. The second issue is that the team probably wants to keep Yo fresh for the stretch run and, more importantly, playoffs. I'd hate to see him hit the "rookie wall" (see Villanueva, Carlos) in the last week of September.
  13. Font size looks perfect now, even in IE! http://static.yuku.com/v2//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/wink.gif
  14. Now the text looks really small to me. I'm on IE 6.0 at work, so I don't really have any other browser options. I'll compare Firefox at home tonight. My text size is set to medium and it looks fine on other sites (like the non-forum parts of bf.net), but really small here. If I switch it to large, it is giant here and enormous elsewhere. Right now the text in the looks roughly the equivlent of 8 point, while the date/post count/titles look to be more like 6 - I can barely read them.
  15. Its not that the text is too big, but the size of each post is huge. Looking at this topic, I can only see three one-line posts without scrolling. Big avatars are nice, but I'd rather see more of the text without scrolling all over. Also, I changed my "replies per page" in my preferences (and clicked submit and received a message that they'd been changed), but it looks like I still only get 20 per page. Am I missing something?
  16. Um, what? Maybe you missed this article. Taxpayer financed stadiums and time off for child birth are not even remotely related. edit: Good Lord, I agree with Geno...
  17. Leukemia. Maybe the best coach of our generation.
  18. Our very own Jim Powell layin' the smack down on Bonds. "At the same time Bonds mathematically passes Aaron's homerun total, he will simultaneously also ascend to the #1 ranking of all cheaters in sports' history in the eyes of most fans."
  19. Last year we had beer bottles thrown at us from across the section, multiple times, in full view of ushers. We complained and the ushers tried to throw us out for standing and clapping for the Brewers. Bleacher security is a complete joke.
  20. Plus we'll need at least 3 innings of bullpen tomorrow with Claudio starting.
  21. Rotoworld again mentioning rumors that Otsuka might need Tommy John surgery.
  22. Strike that, down one with four to play.
  23. Really? Down two in this park with four innings to play?
  24. Where is this coming from? I saw this quote from Linebrink himself: "To go to a team that's playing for something to win is an exciting opportunity," Linebrink said. "The fact that you're wanted there makes it all the better. I'm looking forward to it."
