  1. I had to put a new roof on a few years ago when I was selling my house. I went with Emery Roofing in New Berlin (I think it was New Berlin). They gave me a variety of options and prices and did a great job. Clean up was great. Overall a great experience.
  2. Somewhere in there is a great joke about UWM sorority girls, but I'll just leave it alone.
  3. So now the problem isn't that Yost doesn't chew out players, but rather that he does it too much in public. Or are you assuming that because he does it on the mound, he doesn't do it in private? I'm by no means a Yost lover, but some of these criticisms are pretty ridiculous.
  4. Really? Have you ever seen Yost make a visit to the mound when he's not taking out the pitcher? I think those are "chewings" and they happen pretty frequently, more frequently than most other managers.

  6. Anyone in Milwaukee have a good tailor? I mostly need one for simple things like hemming pants and shortening sleeves on suit jackets, but occasionally I need more difficult things like tapering jackets. I've yet to find one here that I like. Any suggestions?
  7. Gotta love the comments in TH's blog - people are concerned that Braun is sitting because a trade is in the works.

  10. That sounds like the perfect long relief candidate.
  11. Although Ned was raving about how "Bushie kept us in the game" last night in the press conference.
  12. He made Freel look silly with a change and a curve last night.
  13. I had just the opposite experience. I went from Fan's Choice to a pre-set package and got considerably better seats, even though I ordered much later than last year. I also have never had a problem with my ticket rep, but I'm kind of neurotic about calling well in advance, getting things in writing, etc.
  14. Before the internet, this seemed more plausable. Remember, this wasn't some anonymous internet blog, this was in the Sports Illustrated in your mailbox.
  15. OnMilwaukee.com has a couple good ones this year.
  16. I find it hard to believe that there isn't a way for a coach to communicate to a guy at second base to tone down the lead a bit before he gets picked off in a key spot in the game. Then again, this is Ned Yost, so such a system is probably still three or four years away. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif How do you know they we're yelling at him? I realize you hate everything Yost does and we've got 161 more games of you throwing out snide comments everytime someone makes a mistake, or the bullpen gives up a run, or the pitcher leads off an inning, but let's at least be a little logical.
  17. What were you looking for a coach to do - call timeout and go draw a line in the dirt? I highly doubt the coaches were ignoring Hall's lead, but you can't blame the manager or 3rd base coach for a player being picked off.
  18. Come on. I realize the 3rd base coach has some responsibility to alert the runner, but it is the runner's responsibility to take a reasonable lead. This was Hall's fault, plain and simple.
  19. I saw it yesterday, and I'm officially willing to drop my long-standing belief that it was slobber. Its definitely slopper. I think they're using the old video, it even mentions County Stadium in the first couple of lines. I was surprised that I remembered almost the entire thing, word for word. I did notice one small change, they've edited out the location of the fan assistance center (which for all of us County Stadium diehards, was "on the main concourse, outside of section 18").
  20. I was the one who posted about the injury not being "real." I heard that from someone whom I consider pretty reliable. However, I heard this when he was initially hurt, before any exam by Raasch or Andrews. I never claimed anyone was trying to imagine up Tommy John surgery. Personally, I think there some type of injury, but I don't think he needs TJ.
  21. I like emusic.com. Its a flat fee ($9.99 for 40 songs monthly), but there's a lot of cool indie stuff there.
  22. Check out some of the comments on Haudricort's blog. Half the people blame Yost for getting rid of Vargas and keeping McClung. The other half think it was great for Melvin to stand up to Yost and his desire to keep Vargas. I'm not saying that there's a Mensa convention or anything going on over there, but still, give Yost a little credit for being part of the decision-making team.
  23. You know who wants to play hookey on April 10th? This guy.
  24. I'm pretty sure you can just call the ticket office and get passes. I ordered two last week. They are out of preferred, though.
