  1. The deadline talk is so dumb. Not only did the Brewers add a guy who's performed like peak Barry Bonds, but they did it three weeks early. Who gives a **** if it comes in July or September. Maybe he also has an awesome October moment. The dude was the #3 pick in the draft.
  2. Are we counting Vaughn? Because he's had a bigger impact than any of the additions 1-6 will have over the next two months.
  3. More people need to know Bull Durham math. Who the hell knows. Seigler or Ortiz could get hot for a week. *****, have you guys seen what Andrew Vaughn has just done? Getting upset over midseason moves or non-moves is silly IMO.
  4. They played Durbin at SS last week. I think that's insane, but I also thought he wouldn't be able to play third and he's been great.
  5. This strawman you've built is impressive. No one would have been upset over an upgrade. I think some are just more realistic over how much of an upgrade was out there.
  6. They added a really good arm. Given the workload the bullpen's had I'd say that was a pretty nice move. I don't know what people were expecting. I'm honestly a little baffled. All-Star talents weren't being moved. The Brewers didn't miss out on anyone.
  7. And really, Vaughn's all you need to cite. I would bet a good amount that there wasn't a move this week that will be as impactful as Vaughn's been this month. The Brewers already traded for their impact bat.
  8. That was a fun hit to tie it up.
  9. Had no idea so many people would lose their minds over losing out on Amed Rosario and Willi Castro.
  10. Some of those guys have really gotten a lot of work.
  11. The Brewers tweeted it out.
  12. I don't love that they're giving up Jorge Quintana in the Cortes deal.
  13. Teams are giving up honest to god prospect capital for relievers and we just bought ours. This rules.
  14. I dunno, I'm pretty happy with Durbin.
  15. I can't wait to see what AJ Preller gave up.
  16. There hasn't been a single move yet where I thought the Brewers should have been in on it instead.
  17. It'd be like trading Luke Adams, Carlos Rodriguez, and Craig Yoho.
  18. The most I would go for Suarez is Lara. He's turned himself into a legit prospect and the Brewers are light on OFrs in the minors, but the Brewers have Perkins. Throw in Carlos Rodriguez too.
  19. Suarez: 8.2 (median) Henderson: 12.8
  20. Doubt it.
  21. In the offseason when the Brewers traded for a top 100 prospect to play third, moved their impressive rookie 3B over to play short, had a platinum glove winner at second, Hoskins at 1B, and Yeli to DH? Yes, I would have been furious with that offseason trade.
  22. I hate this so much.
