  1. This is the only alignment that makes sense.
  2. Sorry, but I don't think any of that is remotely true? Cowboy fans have been screaming about his personnel moves for 30 years, and there's zero evidence that Jones cares about winning. If he did he would hire the best GMs and the best coaches. His entire thing is about being a talking point on Tuesday morning.
  3. Eh, he played 79 innings at 3rd last season. It's not nothing.
  4. You know who else famously gained 25 lbs of muscle in the offseason.
  5. I'll be honest, until that article it never occurred to me that Yeli might not be back in time for Spring Training, much less the regular season. Not a great sign.
  6. BA wrote up six guys who could be the #1 prospect in the game in 2026. One of them was Made. Another? Pratt.
  7. Best signing of the day IMO.
  8. Baseball Prospectus with their top 20 today. 1 - Jesus Made, IF 2 - Jeferson Quero, C 3 - Cooper Pratt, SS 4 - Jacob Misiorowski, RHP 5 - Mike Boeve, 1B/3B 6 - Yophery Rodriguez, OF 7 - Braylon Payne, OF 8 - Josh Knoth, RHP 9 - Blake Burke, 1B 10 - Luis Peña, IF 11 - Eric Bitonti, 3B/1B 12 - Tyler Black, IF 13 - Bryce Meccage, RHP 14 - Logan Henderson, RHP 15 - Caleb Durbin, IF/OF 16 - Robert Gasser, LHP 17 - Luke Adams, 1B/3B 18 - Brock Wilken, 3B 19 - Craig Yoho, RHP 20 - Carlos Rodriguez, RHP Won't include any of the write ups, but they seem to think Made's most likely position is at 2B, Pratt's at 3B, Boeve at 1B, Durbin at 2B, and Adams at 1B.
  9. I don't think you can project Woodruff to make the opening day roster. I'd honestly be very surprised if he was ready at that point. But perhaps more controversial is I think Turang is the one who moves to SS. Durbin has nothing left to prove in AAA, and he doesn't have the arm for anywhere except 2B. I think the trade was an indicator that Brice is the one who moves.
  10. Would have preferred lottery tickets or one "legit" prospect but if Cortes stays healthy it's hard to see how the Brewers don't come out well ahead in this deal. Can't complain.
  11. Law The Yankees talked up Caleb Durbin after he had a nice AFL performance, with Aaron Boone pretending Durbin might be their second baseman to start the year, but this trade shows that was all a smokescreen. Durbin can run, and he can put the ball in play, but he has next to no power. His average exit velocity in AAA was 83 mph, his Barrel rate was just 3 percent, and his EV50 (the average exit velocity of the top 50 percent of his batted balls) was 92.3, which would have ranked last in the majors by almost 2 mph. He’s 5-foot-6 and already maxed out, so I’m skeptical that he can add any strength to improve his contact quality. He’s played all three skill positions on the infield and dabbled a little in left and center, but doesn’t have the arm for shortstop or third. He might be a good last guy on the bench because he has some speed and puts the ball in play at such a high rate (his strikeout rate in Triple A last year was just 9.9 percent), but I don’t see anything more. Tell us how you really feel, Keith.
  12. Because the Brewers have been good I haven't paid much attention to the draft lottery, but wow. That system is god-awful.
  13. I don't know why there would be any reason to doubt the Brewers interest or pursuit.
  14. Smith being available to be picked at all is so incredibly annoying.
  15. The Brewers have as much of an option of "extending" Burnes as the O's do.
  16. Where I'm at too. I'm not adverse to digging into the system to bring back some strong help to the big club, but two years of control for six, 12, or 18 years is tough to stomach. Brewers should work on being the receiving end of that team control.
  17. Pratt (headliner) Sal/Mitchell/Black (MLB ready guy) Knoth/Lara/Areinamo/Burke (lower level 10-20 type) is probably as high as I would go. Losing Pratt would hurt but you gotta give up something.
  18. A little terrified of what it would cost to bring him in.
  19. With regards to a Devin trade, I think my order of preference here is 1 - One legit top 100 prospect (obviously the higher regarded the better) with helium 2 - Multiple lower level lottery tickets with intriguing traits 3 - Solid if unspectacular major league starting pitcher with multiple years of control 4 - Getting hit by a bus 5 - Stopgap IF with a year left on his deal
  20. Lux to the Brewers is the proposal that just won't die. Please, I beg the world, let it die.
  21. New ESPN "Trades we would like to see" article featuring Devin. Schoenfield suggests the Yankees and their "starting pitching depth in the minors". No names. McDaniel suggests the Rangers. Thinks they could get one player between Alejandro Rosario, Emiliano Teodo, or Jack Leiter amongst the arms, or a position player like Justin Foscue. I could get on board with any of those Rangers arms, but Foscue's limited options in the field and below average speed wouldn't seem to make him a good fit in Milwaukee.
  22. The other two teams in the category were the Rockies and Twins, though. I can buy the Rockies but the Twins?
  23. ESPN's got an article on one big move every team should make. When they got to the Brewers they were literally like 🤷‍♂️ we got nothing.
