  1. The being bad against LHP makes no sense when you look at our roster on paper. Hopefully it turns around at some point.
  2. I do wonder if they intentionally walk Elly there if Candelario was on deck. Maybe they do because Elly was crushing the Brewers in this series, but it becomes a lot less automatic then it was with Espinal on deck.
  3. The tying run already was in scoring position. Adames throwing error went into the dugout so the runner got 2B.
  4. Yeah that was a huge performance from Rund. Wisconsin was probably imagining Fitzpatrick would go at least 4 innings and potentially even finish the game. He only got 2 outs. Rund saved the pen big time getting 10 outs.
  5. Can't imagine the Timber Rattlers planned for Brian Fitzpatrick to not even give them an inning today. Rund comes in with runners on 2nd and 3rd and 2 outs. Routine ground ball to 1B and Rund drops the well thrown pitch to him covering the base. 8-5 Rattlers and we have ourselves a game today.
  6. Mudcats get 2nd and 3rd with 0 outs in the 5th and don't get a single run. They are really doing everything in their power to make this first half race go down to the wire.
  7. Luis Contreras was just selected by the Astros. I know @Joseph Zarr is smiling somewhere as he reads the news.
  8. Doubt the Brewers would give up that much for a rental.
  9. The Timber Rattlers blow it open in the top of the 9th. Eduarqui Fernandez hit a solo HR to LF. Then you have a Doston walk, O'Rae bloop single, Lara HBP to load the bases and Luke Adams clears them with a bomb off the scoreboard in LF. 7-2 Timber Rattlers.
  10. Today was in my opinion Chourio's best game as an MLB player. That walk in the 2nd inning was so impressive. He strikes out 3 times in that PA if it was a month ago. That single off Cruz’s splitter was equally as impressive. It wasn’t a well located pitch, but he managed to recognize it and stay back on the pitch and smoke the ball into left for a single. In comparison Turang had an equally hittable splitter two batters later but couldn’t stay back and hit a lazy pop up. I feel like this was his first game this season where every PA was good. Just so, so impressive and I really hope it’s a sign of things to come.
  11. Should have been Dunn. I would have pinch hit Bauers for Frelick. Frelick is both not a threat to hit an XBH and also a bigger threat than Bauers to GIDP. Also didn't like that they sent Freddy who was sparingly given you 6 innings this year back out for the 6th when he had stunk it up today. That 6th run they scored off Freddy ended up being pretty darn impactful.
  12. Uribe needs surgery on his right meniscus. Hasn't been officially ruled out for the year.
  13. The long nightmare appears to be over!
  14. DSL Brewers 2 with the 1-0 lead through 4 innings despite not yet recording a hit.
  15. Mitchell hasn't really hit much on his rehab assignment so far. Between the ACL and AAA so far he's hit 2 balls in the air, a 79 EV bloop double and a 64 EV infield lineout.
  16. Pitcher's duel breaking out in the DSL Civil War today. Scoreless through 3 innings.
  17. Is that David Fletcher’s music??
  18. I'd be worried about injury if this wasn't how all of 2023 was for Woessner. He was super inconsistent start to start and even within starts with his velo last year.
  19. Woessner doing the crazy velo fluctuation thing again. Wasn't giving up much contact early in the start when he was 93 early in his outing. He's been more 89-90 the last two innings and is really struggling.
  20. Sounds like a former radio guy who has watched Whitecaps baseball for 31 years (seems like a local legend) says that's the longest HR he's seen in his 31 years watching Whitecaps baseball.
  21. Jesus Chirinos just hit an absolute bomb. The Whitecaps announcers are saying it's the longest HR they have ever seen hit in this ballpark.
  22. Bayden Root in for Wisconsin with a 2-run lead. This one could get testy.
