  1. So I am not taking crazy pills. Wright State and all the draft scouting reports had him listed as 6'2 and everywhere now has him listed at 5'10...what's going on?
  2. Yeah I can't get on board with anyone blaming the pitching for today's loss. Our offense put up 1 run. Our offense put up 9 runs in the series and 4 of them came on one of the flukiest innings you'll ever see. We are fortunate to have even won a single game against one of the best teams in baseball putting up 9 runs in 3 games.
  3. Fangraphs, baseball reference, and the Biloxi website all have him listed as 5'10. I could have sworn he was listed as 6'1 last season and I know for a fact he was listed at 5'11 earlier this season because I noted it when I saw it.
  4. This ump man. Might as well just give the game to the Diamondbacks
  5. Brewers are starting to smash Gallen since the start of the 5th inning and everything is finding gloves. So frustrating.
  6. And the game is tied because the ump blew strike 3 on the previous pitch..******* ROBOT UMPS PLEASE
  7. I'll take that run, but that inning was so close to something special. Anderson - 101 EV, 20 LA, 352ft, xBA .380 Tapia - 100 EV, 25 LA, 401ft, xBA .560 Urias - 78 EV, 17 LA, 178ft, xBA .910 Wiemer - 102 EV, 31 LA, 402ft, xBA .670 Really unfortunate to only get 1 hit and 1 run from that inning.
  8. Yeah. Mixes pitches and locations really well and his pitches all move quite a bit.
  9. Ashcraft has shown nothing yet in his MLB career to be listed with those other names.
  10. Ump's zone has been wildly inconsistent so far. Might be a long day of one pitch being a strike and then next one there being a ball.
  11. After the 1st half of the season. I believe that date is coming up very soon maybe even some time next week?
  12. I've seen some prospect guys speculate his control issues could be very related to the tacky baseball hurting his changeup command.
  13. Wisconsin are 15-9 in their last 24 games after being swept 2 times in 3 series to start May. Finally starting to play better team baseball. Think they will compete for the top of the division in the 2nd half.
  14. Not to mention Adames, Urias, and Winker all had good games at the plate. We desperately need those 3 to start hitting better and hopefully today was the day that starts happening.
  15. Some behind home plate Misiorowski content courtesy of Curt Hogg.
  16. Figured I would start a thread on this. It's a fun little daily baseball trivia game that I have enjoyed playing the last few weeks. https://www.immaculategrid.com/
  17. This is an optimism thread we are also 6-1 against the Reds and Pirates this year .
  18. It's pretty well documented that Adames couldn't see the ball at the Trop after they changed the lights and the numbers totally back up that theory. 2019 - 56 wRC+ at home and 122 wRC+ on the road 2020 - 64 wRC+ at home and 173 wRC+ on the road 2021 before being traded - 61 wRC+ at home and 86 wRC+ on the road. Rays were also very big fans of Rasmussen considering they drafted him out of high school but he didn't sign.
  19. It does seem like our hitters are genuinely just thinking too much and not actually hitting. Guys like Rowdy, Adames, Anderson are all putting up the worst EV numbers of their careers and they just seem so unsure/frustrated while at the plate. Watching the D-Backs be so aggressive on 1st pitches tonight was a thing of beauty meanwhile our hitters are taking so many hittable pitches early in counts then expanding the zone after they get down.
  20. This game probably puts the 2023 Brewers back level with the 2002 and 1997 Brewers as the 4th worst offense in franchise history by wRC+
  21. He's exceeded 5 years service time this season already so he can't be optioned.
  22. That's 1 average SP not 3 like you said. I've also seen nobody say Freddy is an above average pitcher this season. Two above average RP by ERA+ doesn't make an above average bullpen. Good relievers typically carry ERA+ far above 100. For comparison's sake here is the Brewers bullpen by ERA+ DW - 227 Payamps - 172 Wilson - 152 Milner - 144 Peguero - 156 Megill - 129 Strzelecki - 88 Here is Cincinnati's bullpen which is average by WPA. Diaz - 257 Farmer - 204 Gibaut - 140 Young - 169 Sims - 171 That Cardinals bullpen is just flat out bad.
