  1. 5-0 Nationals in the 2nd inning against the league average SP. Also the scary Nolan Gorman that was included up with Goldschmidt and Arenado has a 48% K-rate in June and has seen his wRC+ drop from 148 at the end of May to currently 118 after his first AB today.
  2. One of the Cardinals "league average SP" has already given up 3 runs in the 1st inning against the incredible Washington Nationals offense!
  3. So sad that Yelich is finally starting to look like a really good player again and the first reaction from so many fans is to try and trade him rather than just enjoy him looking like a really good baseball player again.
  4. Their run differential is 1 run better than the Brewers lol. They also have a terrible bullpen so them underperforming their run differential is not at all surprising.
  5. It's a super small sample size and we face Gallen that day.
  6. Where are you getting above average bullpen and 3 average starting pitchers from? Cards bullpen has been one of the worst in the MLB this year and Helsley is on the IL with forearm tightness. Mikolas and Flaherty are not average SP. Their ERA- are both below league average and their xERA and peripheral batted numbers are well below league average. Montgomery is their only SP who is average or better
  7. Players I think are could be ready for promotions. A - Lara, Adams, Wehrle, Smith A+ - Lazar AA - Black, Campbell A+ is a bit of a log jam with not a lot of players deserving of promotions. I think they could push Gray again if Lara gets promoted to A+. Woessner I think could handle a promotion but I feel like he needs to maintain his velo deeper into starts before he’s truly ready for a promotion.
  8. Really, Really important to win this game with Rea and Teheran going in the next 2. A loss today feels like a near guaranteed series loss.
  9. If only Brewers fans on this site believed in the Brewers as much as they do the Cardinals.
  10. As of today: Brent Suter - 2.88 ERA, 3.39 FIP, 4.47 xFIP Chase Anderson - 4.12 ERA, 5.68 FIP, 4.85 xFIP Vs their Brewers counterparts that you wanted to replace Bryse Wilson - 2.83 ERA, 3.90 FIP, 4.64 xFIP Colin Rea - 4.71 ERA, 4.80 FIP, 4.34 xFIP Julio Teheran - 1.78 ERA, 3.73 FIP, 4.43 xFIP Thank goodness we didn't trade prospects away for Suter and Anderson and just continued to ride with what we had considering they have performed pretty much on par with Suter and Anderson.
  11. Bases loaded, 1-out and Julks hit into a double play.
  12. Because the offensive environment was down last season...that's why his league adjusted numbers (OPS+ and wRC+) were basically the same despite the raw numbers slightly falling off.
  13. BA making that comment on the broadcast today that the Brewers value production more than pedigree was absolutely hilarious when we have Freddy in the rotation still, Winker and Adames hitting 2-3. Could not be more incorrect.
  14. The best buddies (Adames, Freddy, Urias) have absolutely stunk it up this season. Last year they combined for 8.9 fWAR. This year they are on pace for 2.5 fWAR
  15. Freddy Peralta's first 2 starts this season - 12 IP, 1 ER, 0.75 ERA Freddy Peralta's last 12 starts- 61.1 IP, 39 ER, 5.72 ERA I think it's time to put Freddy in the pen. Swap him and Houser and let Freddy be a high leverage pen guy. His command has been too bad to be a starting pitcher.
  16. Martinez with another horrible defensive play at 1B abandoning the base and leaving Jimenez stuck in no-man's land with no play at 1B. It's the 2nd inning and Martinez has already cost the Rattlers 2 outs.
  17. Jimenez gives up a 2 out triple a couple of pitches after Ernesto Martinez drops a pop-up in foul territory. Jimenez avoids damage, but my goodness the defense at 1B in Wisconsin and Carolina this season would leave you thinking 1B is the hardest defensive position in the sport.
  18. I don't think it will be imminent. They said they are going to slowly work him back with lots of off days. Maybe by the beginning of July.
  19. Darrell Thompson with a dominant 7th inning for Nashville. Struck out the side with ease.
  20. His double was pretty hilarious. Hit a chopper so hard that it bounced over the 3B head and went down the LF line for a double. He was due for a bit of BABIP luck though.
  21. Sal Frelick might be back. Just ripped a 101 EV HR almost 400ft to RF. He's 2-2 with a 2B, HR, and BB tonight. Also is playing RF.
  22. Frelick just ripped a 104 EV bases clearing double in the 2nd inning to put the Sounds up 3-1!
  23. Who has never had a BB/9 under 5 btw and currently in the MLB has over 6 BB/9
  24. Wow Mudcats 3B coach (whoever they are) with a very bad send. 6-6 game in the 8th inning with 1 out and Lara due up and the 3B coach sends A. Perez on a double by Barrios. Perez was out by about 7-8ft. With 1 out and your best hitter who rarely ever strikes out due up, you cannot make that send.
  25. When Woessner is up in the 94-96 range with his FB in the early innings, he is basically unhittable but later in his outings when he's in the lower 90's he gets hit around a bit if the command isn't on point. The command has not been on point in the 4th today which has lead to a lot of good contact against him.
