  1. Monday 2/6: Via 97.3 the Game: "Tim Allen's Winter Meetings Show kicks off with an interview of Brewers Bench Coach Pat Murphy" *** Thursday 2/9:Via WTMJ: Dom Cotroneo hosts "Brewers Weekly" (Curt Hogg of the Journal-Sentinel is the guest) *** Reminder that our Minor League Forum includes these interviews: 2022 1st round SS Eric Brown Jr. 2022 8th round LHP Nate Peterson
  2. Sunday 2/5: Latest Milwaukee Tailgate Podcast - "The guys discuss the recent Bally's Sports news, what it might mean for the Brewers this year and beyond, the Brewers' Walk and Hall of Fame, and how pitching might be effected by the shift." *** Monday 2/6: Podcast via Baseball America: Kyle Glaser and Ben Badler break down the Brewers farm system, including Jackson Chourio's lofty potential, if Robert Gasser is their next pitching success story and why the Brewers system aligns perfectly with their big-league needs.
  3. If there's one thing we've learned, it's pay attention when the #Brewers go the undrafted route when signing potential high octane relief arms with developable pitchability. Here's the new feature article out:
  4. Jon Olczak, the 2015-2019 Brewers farmhand (2015 21st round out of NC State) was let go in the pandemic purge of spring 2020. Now 29 years old, he gets another affiliated opportunity after two years in the Astros' system, including 47 games (45 in relief) at AAA in 2022. Olczak received a big league spring camp invite with the Crew in '19 and another with Houston last spring.
  5. Not sure what the alternatives are (or if that connotation is even needed), but I absolutely foresee trouble looming if the “thumbs down” icon sticks around. Yikes.
  6. Monday 1/30: Via WSSP's Steve "Sparky" Fifer: "David Gasper of ReviewingTheBrew.com discusses the remaining questions of the Brewers off-season." *** Wednesday 2/1: Via Locked on Brewers: The final "Locked on" for a while as Brandon steps away as a new promotion at WTMJ opened up for him Via the "YNK: You Know What I Mean?" Podcast: Christian Yelich (two hours plus, a bit of NSFW F-drops) Via WTMJ: Dom Cotroneo hosts the latest "Brewers Weekly" - New York Times baseball columnist Tyler Kepner is a guest within, and the full interview with him is archived separately *** Thursday 2/2: Via Eric Cressey's latest @elitebaseballpod: Devin Williams
  7. All the full-season leagues are locked after the elimination of Rookie Advanced leagues. Each MLB club gets one affiliate each at AAA, AA, High-A and A. There’s no room for your hopeful plan.
  8. We’ll have to wait and see, this is a valid point but the BrewersPD tweet didn’t specify a “Gold” and “Blue” team.
  9. All the Affiliate Press Releases from Wednesday: Nashville Biloxi Wisconsin Carolina
  10. Via damuelle on 12/2: We wanted to give a send-off message to recently released Zach Mort: 25-year old Virginian RHP Zach Mort joined the Brewers in January 2021 after being an 8th round pick of the Cubs (George Mason University) and playing the 2018 and 2019 seasons with them. Over 2021/2022, Mort threw 32 2/3 IP at Low-A Carolina and 143 2/3 IP at High-A Wisconsin, producing a combined 5.67 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 8.9 K/9. He seemed to find his groove as a reliever in 2022 (2.77 ERA, 0.98 WHIP, 6-1 record), but struggled mightily in six spot starts (10.13 ERA). We wish Zach the best of luck in his next adventure. *** UPDATE: Congrats to Zach as the Braves signed him and have placed him on their AA Mississippi roster for now.
  11. 14. Thyago Vieira, Lamar Sparks, Tanner Spears - Brewers on a fantastic run of great new name values in the organization - hopefully they translate to great stat lines as well!
  15. The Brewers have dipped again into the independent league relief pitcher pipeline, dipping to nab a fireballer able to hit 98 MPH in a new workout program (Instagram Link). Not just that, but it's the same Frontier League Schaumburg Boomers team that brings RHP Tanner Shears to the Crew's system as had big leaguer Jake Cousins, 2022 standout and Arizona Fall Leaguer Ryan Middendorf and fall signee LHP Darrell Thompson previously. Injuries derailed another Boomer - Brewer connection in RHP Alec Kenilvort. Full press release here: SHEARS JOINING BREWERS SUNDAY, JANUARY 22, 2023 BY TIM CALDERWOOD Prior roster page from the University of Illinois-Chicago Congrats to Tanner!
  16. Sunday 1/15:Latest Milwaukee Tailgate Podcast - "This week the guys discussed all those arbitration settlements and the notable exception, the state of front office/fan relations, and the newest members of the Brewers minor league system" *** Monday 1/16: Via WSSP's Steve "Sparky" Fifer: "Bally Sports Wisconsin Brewers analyst and former Brewers pitcher Tim Dillard discusses the team's off-season moves. What needs to still be done? Who pitches the 8th? What about the pitch clock for this season? Robo umps in triple AAA this season, does Tim like it?" *** Tuesday 1/17:Via Locked on Brewers: "What should the Brewers do with Corbin Burnes?" Via the "Baseball Isn't Boring" Podcast: "In his first interview since announcing his retirement, pitcher Josh Lindblom joins host Rob 'Bradfo' Bradford to reveal his thoughts behind the decision to hang up his cleats at just 35 years old and what led to the social media announcement. Lindblom offers fascinating insight into how his career evolved and lessons that can be learned from a career that went from second-round pick to key parts of significant trades to Korea to becoming a league MVP and, finally, re-entering the new world of Major League Baseball. It's a great look into the intricacies that go into living the life as a professional pitcher." Via Jon Arias' "Joncast Podcast": "Sophia Minnaert of Bally Sports Wisconsin talks about winning the NSMA Wisconsin Sportscaster of the Year, interacting with Bob Uecker on a daily basis, her internship at ESPN in 2008, the time she almost got hit by an errant baseball while reporting live on the air and how MLB will look different in the future with new rule changes." Via WISN's Dario Melendez: Brewers Fantasy Camp Confidential - brief video interviews with JJ Hardy, Geoff Jenkins, Paul Wagner and Scott Karl
