I started a thread roughly a year ago to sell high on him and got a lot of backlash. I’ll save the victory lap, but if we can get Kopech for Wiemer and something smallish, that’s a low low trade we need to execute.

From your list I’d trade Orae Clarke and Di Turri to get Kikuchi and Bassett. We’d need more added though .

I think Kikuchi would be an excellent add. I like the Perkins for Kikuchi idea someone else brought up. Also would be open to getting Bassitt involved with Kikuchi ax for something like Frelick, Dunn, 20-30 pitching prospect .

Add Bitoni instead of Boeve and throw in a lotto and I’m in. Boeve I have too high of hopes for in becoming an all star. -

From your proposals, Id rather keep Baez out of the deal but would do Kikuchi for Blalock and two other pieces (Warren and Holub maybe)? Id hate to give up Boeve and couldn’t deal Patrick until I see him pitch a couple for Mil. Maybe Rodriguez and Arianamo for Kopech and Fedde I’d do though. -
Given that Black is Canadian, and that we maybe can afford to move him, I would be interested in what we could get from Toronto in a deal centered around him. I’d love to get Kikuchi but he is a fa after the year so we’d need more than just him. Am wondering what an expanded fair deal with the Blue Jays and Black/Kikuchi involved might look like. Opinions on a fair deal anyone? Edited to add that Kikuchi and Bassitt for Black and a pitcher like Blalock and a lottery ticket might work. Would that be fair?

Bigred, respectfully you need to realize that Milwaukee can win a ws the way they run things. But we will need timely hitting and bigger than expected performances from a Rae or Bryce Wilson to do so . And that absolutely can happen.

Payamps aint going to the Mets in a trade for severino or manaea. They will want youth. Again, Wiemer and a minimal piece for Severino and Manaea is a play to attempt.

Id love to grab Manaea AND Severino at the cost of Joey Wiemer’s potential if Stearns would be so inclined… Im ready for Perkins to be penned in the next few years roster either as a starter or as a reserve, so I don’t feel the need to keep holding Wiemer if we can get two pretty good starters for the rest of the year.

If we want to believe in Black and Dunn being a part of our IF going forward, we could actually afford then to reluctantly package Wilken and Boeve together in a Crochet deal (we’d at least need to add one pitcher I know)…

I sort of feel like this years squad shouldn’t move anybody and have more of a “see what happens “ playoffs. But if we can get Severino for a couple 40 man roster crunches forthcoming, that’d be my aim… Wiemer and something for Severino and something makes sense to me. -

Nah, I’d rather buy low on Jimenez and gamble on the options.

If LAD want to trade us Knack Wroblewski and Martin I’m ready to see how Black performs at 2b or 3B and still think we win the division.

We would need two Knack-types or better to move Adames. If Knack loosely equals Gasser, we would still need a Ruiz type to move Adames imho.

I’d rather buy low on Jimenez than spend on Robert actually. Getting a deal on a Jimenez/Kopech package in a buy low, even if it costs a bit, makes sense to me. For instance, if we can get Jimenez and Kopech for Black straight up would be tough but worth it if Jimenez is healthy.

Quite honestly, the comp pick is a good enough award along with the quality season and presence Adames brings to the team. Take the pick after the season and be happy with what IS this season in Adames’ swan song as a brewer .
