  1. It makes a ton of sense to start Wiemer and gasser in aaa then id guess. And kf we keep Adames , prob wait til late May for Ortiz also..,,
  2. How many days in AAA do we have to keep down the following guys for an extra year of control? Wiemer Mitchell Ortiz Gasser Hall Thanks for your help in understanding this !
  3. Highly doubt we’d trade him without smelling in the deal and we likely want a piece to help a bit this year as well.
  4. If they’d do Cease for Turang, Wiemer, Peguero (fair on BTV) those are guys I’d be ok moving for him.
  5. Haha to the post above. Good props there! But on a more serious note, how little would you take from the Dodgers for Adames? I was thinking I’d maybe be willing to take Payton Martin, Justin Wroblewski, and a 30-40 lotto pitcher just because I am ready for the young infield to take shape (and don’t think that’s selling all that low for one year of Adames). What do yall think of this type of deal?
  6. This. Which is why something like River Ryan might be all that it takes.
  7. Just saying it’s bigger than a remote possibility trades like this happen.
  8. Hypothetically, we get Cabrera from marlins for wormer and Adames and Sheehan in a Devin Williams deal. Not a rebuild.
  9. Yeah I’m not saying Turang won’t prove to be a starting caliber infielder but I believe Wilken Ortiz and Black will lay claim to three of the four infield jobs and I’m guessing we find a better fourth than Turang or that he proves to be more valuable in a billy hall capacity
  10. Yep. And I wouldn’t mind giving Snell whatever number MA would in theory have offered Burnes if the relationship were better / we kept him til free agency
  11. Be that as it may, his value is too great and a lesser thought of pitching prospect should be enough of an enhancement with Adams’s/Wiemer to make it work. i really think Adames is for sure dealt before opening day unless the offers are just plain bad. I feel we are moving to Ortiz at ss day one. Also, I think Turang utltimately ends up in a super sub role for a good brewer team the next several years. 250-400 abs as a Counsell type reserve on a good squad . Basically a really good guy to have on the team but not a guy that gets a full time inked in starting job.
  12. Huge overpay by us including Rodriguez. This deal is a no go. Should be able to swap out Rodriguez for a Logan Henderson and I’d guess they’d accept.
  13. If we did Williams and Adames for Sheehan and wroblewski for instance, I’d be all over Snell for a 8x200 or a 1x25 or 2x50 deal.
  14. I kind of liked the other two backups (and Quero in AAA) more than enough. Might Contreras be dangled? Someone had to say this out loud so I guess it’ll be me.
  15. So it makes more sense to just go with Bauers at 1b in 2024 solely because we traded Corbin? You do know that we are still trying to win and not tanking despite the trade, right?
  16. I think we need Sheehan in a Williams deal. Too many other clubs would be interested to settle for quantity over getting the top guy we can get (likely Sheehan). I proposed Adames and Williams for Sheehan and Wroblewski and feel that would be acceptable to both sides. If it’s Sheehan for Williams without Adames, we may need to throw in a Logan Henderson or Bryce Wilson or both . if we trade Adames alone to dodgers, I’d want River and Wroblewski or something to that level. Thoughts?
  17. What im saying is Peralta is a tad better than Chacin and to let this play out, as I believe the team is still a contender to win the NLC or a strong wildcard candidate. There is more to come to aid our starting staff. We will be fine this year and the future years are now much brighter.
  18. Sheehan Wroblewski for Adames and Williams makes a ton of sense. It’s fair on btv fwiw. Dodgers should have to part with Sheehan to “win” Devin Williams I feel. And Wroblewski is the perfect arm talent prospect to get Arnold to sign off on trading two core pieces.
  19. When we acquired E. Ruiz in the Hader deal, we could rationalize it if we tried but his inclusion in the deal didn’t make a lot of sense fit-wise at this time. i keep coming back to Cabrera of the Marlins and can’t help but wonder if Joey Ortiz might be headed to the Marlins for Cabrera? Or elsewhere for a starter? It seems to me that the possibility of Ortiz moving right along for a good starter and the Brewers going another year with Adames before turning the reins over to Bryce Turang should be discussed at the least .
  20. You do remember six years ago when Chacin was far and away our best starter on, yep, a brewer playoff team, right?
  21. Cabrera for Adames plus is what I’d focus on. Cabrera all day in any marlins deal.
  22. Thoughts? I’d love to deal from our young cf of before st begins.. this would be my target
  23. If Burnes stays, Hoskins and not a lame 1b Bayern platoon better be the game plan .
  24. Yankee have several acceptable packages I’d take for Corbin
