  1. Is this a possible stud starter? Numbers sure pop this year and just had a great start at AA. Fill me in yall!
  2. This is exactly what all brewer fans should see as best case scenario.
  3. While you might be right, Black is not a down the road guy. He is a guy that would immediately be an impact bat for them. The Jays always have some money to spend to get a guy like Flaherty in free agency too.
  4. Gausman for the Canadian Black might make sense since we’d get two years of him helping frontline our rotation.
  5. I’m sorry but you just can’t tell me we can’t lose Adames and get the pick for him, sign say Kikuchi and Lorenzen, and run back the rest of the entire team and not be better set up than a big Greinke style trade would offer us.
  6. I kinda think the trajectory of this team doesn’t need a bold trade. Make the playoffs 10 of the next 15 years and we may be in a World Series. We are set up well. Don’t go all in.
  7. Hoskins returning with his option is fine to me. I think he will have the same or better year next year and is a leader. I don’t like the idea of trading Peralta this off season. He should be kept for a run. If our starting staff have a good year next year (ie Miso looks really good and Gasser bounces back second half of year) then trade Peralta with a year left on his deal if you wish. But not this coming off season with the question marks we have in our Sp’s. If we do have some money to spend, it should be on a decent starter. Kikuchi has been the guy I’ve wanted and won’t get a comp pick and should be in our under 20 mil/yr price range. Lastly, let’s get Tyler Black penciled in to next year’s lineup at least in a utility role where he can get 3-400 abs. I want to see what we have there. Maybe Bauer moves on and/or maybe we deal an OF like Perkins for an organizations 8-12 type prospect or something like that. Add Kikuchi and Woodruff to this exact same team basically (with Gasser coming back second half) and we have a shot to go far next year without breaking the bank or dealing our prospects.
  8. With respect to Wiemer, people are not mentioning the fact that dealing him opens up an opportunity for someone to take his aaa of spot and really shine. Maybe Black shows a good glove there. Maybe we call up Hicklen in a pinch and he shines when otherwise Wiemer would be the hypothetical pinch call up.
  9. I’d like to get Diekman as another lefty bullpen option down the stretch. I think we could use him as long as one of our three lefty bullpen arms is on the DL.
  10. We are 6.5 games up on the cards. We should have a good chance at winning the division and didn’t give up a hoard for a guy like Eric Fedde.
  11. Henderson, Patrick, Crow, Smith need to be locks. Pitching pitching pitching. Cant let Crow go before seeing him on the mound for a year and Patrick too good in aaa to expose. I don’t see any positional player I’d want to protect for this upcoming year cycle, though a few could well pan out. I’d let the chips fall how they may and protect zero positional though.
  12. Anyone see anything they want to add from the many that are or will be dfa’d the past few and upcoming few days?
  13. Ehh, I bet Fedde busts in Aug/Sept but we will see. Rosario would have been an ok add but I don’t think we seemed backup if help. Morel homered today and Tampa usually wins deals so not sure we wanted to do a 3 for 1 with them. We are gonna end up looking just fine I reckon.
  14. The last few post strike a scooter gennett to Cinci tone.
  15. Anyone else find it weird the guy hasn’t been heard from since posting a .838 ops for us? He’s like 2-3 years removed from the game and it just kinda struck me that it makes little sense. Only 35 too.
  16. I just mean there is nobody to even stop gap 3rd base if Ortiz moves to short and I’d think we’d want to push wilken to aaa starting in early august. Deserved or not, we will otherwise have a hard time finding a stop gap that’s worthy of being on a World Series contender.
  17. If Adames walks as many expect, Ortiz likely moves to ss. That creates an opening at 3B with nobody currently on the roster a candidate to fill. I would think Wilken would move to AAA by now so that he could presumably fill that role if not on opening day 2025, then after his service time delay is accomplished early in the season. I worry just slightly that if he is not moved up to aaa this season that he won’t be looked at as a serious contender at 3B start of next year (or a few weeks in).
  18. Don’t wanna pay Mitchell/CRod/plus for Fede. That was the extent of my post in this thread ..
  19. Post some ideas rather than criticisms of my ideas. What do you want us to do? Post several over the next few days and I know that you are something beyond an AI troll. I’ll wait and watch ….
  20. Why is it Wisconsin teams are thought to have less backbone than any other city pro teams? Like we need stabilization of our pro teams situation as (playoff ish) at the expense of maybe making a smart as heck deal. Really bothers me. Other cities around the country can stomach a controversial deal with biggish rewards on the near back end, but our fandom and even our management can’t.
  21. Ok, subtract Fedde and insert kopech then. No yoho or ptbnl though. crochet and kopech for Mitchell black wiemer Patrick brown Perkins. thats fair
  22. How much do the playoffs chances go down trading Willy and having Ortiz and Turang up the middle though? With a six game lead in the division we sit? Willy is on another team come November regardless….
  23. We’d still have Brewer Hicklen completely ready for an of role for this year in the outfield. I think we could stomach those losses, even three ofs.
