Pathetic at bats by Lee and Jenkins. Good thing we have our catcher with a .750 career OPS batting #5. What a lineup.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/sick.gif
Even I can't blame Yost for this one. Taking out Sheets was a good move, and Helms doubled and scored in his place. DLR had no excuse to be rusty and he was bad. Wise was bad. The atrocious Spivey-Moeller combination is really the only thing you can blame on Yost.
Hall is still playing. What ever happened to Yost not liking the intentional walk? The Astros open it back up again.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/sick.gif
That's all for Sheets. Not a bad outing. His ERA went down a little. IP H R ER BB SO HR PC-ST ERA 5.0 2 4 1 2 9 1 81-54 3.62 Edit: Way to go Helms and Clark, back to back doubles and it's a one run game.
It's a good thing Spivey is the key to our offense. That way we can justify leaving him in no matter how pathetic his defense is. It's true. Yost and Daron Sutton told us so.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif
I can't get in the chat room either. Also, Ned Yost IV appears *thrilled* to be chatting with Bob Brainerd. He just won't get those kind of perks in Helena or wherever.
Santana has retired 12 in a row now with 9 Ks after 5 innings. Still no hits for the Brewers. I think our best chance at getting on the board is if Sutton breaks out one of those patented announcer jinxes.
What in the world is Bill Hall doing up there? He has had 2 at bats, struck out both times, and he has swung the bat a total of one time. I'd call it Spiveyitis, but instead of swinging at every pitch he is watching them sail down the middle.
