    Has anyone heard if Preston Wilson will be available for todays game It looks like Friday, with the possibility of him arriving during today's game. But, since its a day game, its more likely that he will be making his Nats debut vs Ben Sheets on Friday.

    Tough match up with Livan today. But, I can't wait for 1:05. Three days without Brewers baseball is brutal (especially Wednesday, when there was not even anything baseball related - at least Monday and Tuesday had All Star festivities).

    The way the pitching matchups look for this series, I'd like to believe the Brewers can take 2 of 3 at least. Of course, that would require solid defense and some offensive output.

    I heard the trainer on the radio pregame making excuses that guys are tired and are "looking forward to the break", to recharge. Ask all 30 teams and I'm quite certain you would get a similar response from most of them. The guys not going to the All Star game gotta be looking forward to 3 days off. Human nature.

    Anyone want to bet against them being 12 games under .500 by the deadline? I'll take that bet. I figure the Brewers for 2 wins in Atlanta, even though the Braves are hot right now. Then coming off the All Star break, hopefully the Crew can get it going. No way this team is 12 under by the end of the month. No way.

    Blowtalico is one of the few players I actually wouldn't mind just DFAing. I'm hoping that's what happens once the trade deadline passes and he's still here.

    RyDogg, I wasn't disagreeing with you when I asked you to explain. I was simply stating that I was unable to witness the play myself and was wondering why you were so convinced it was a bad call to bunt the pitcher there. For the record, I agree that they probably should have pinch hit. I don't, however, think that you can use the result of the play (Moeller getting thrown out at 3rd) as a reason why it was a bad call, since that happened after the fact. I would imagine the reason no pinch hitter was used is due to the fact that the bullpen was used heavily yesterday.

    There is basically nothing on the radar for Miami except a couple of tiny little cells, so the delay should be a short one (hopefully).
