  1. Got out of it! Now score 10 so we get Cy Bauers in (0.00 ERA!!!!)
  2. Zastryzny has the recent performance. Milner has a more solid resume. Honestly a tossup between the two. I like Hoby better but I don't think he is necessarily better than Rob
  3. So Zastryzny DFA and Peguero optioned when Ross and Williams come back right?
  4. Hoskins shut everyone up! Me included! Turang sucks!Come on hit a homer now
  5. It took Chourio a few months to adapt to AA. Then he mashed. Safe to say the same happened here. Only thing left is for him to hit lefties
  6. One would think Hoskins and Bauers would be a decent or better first base platoon.
  7. Sanchez I think has played a game or two there this season
  8. Once Sánchez comes back, is there anything we could get for Haase? Maybe as a side piece in a bigger trade? Because with how he is playing there is no way he makes it through waivers
  9. We all find enjoyment in different things. I enjoy seeing my team win
  10. Always fun to see in-game thread melt downs after a win. This game is 9 (sometimes 12) innings
  11. Atta boy Freddy. Would love an insurance run or ten
  12. 6.77 ERA, 1.793 WHIP. Sheesh I knew it was bad but man those kids are struggling
  13. This is exactly why I refrain from judging the draft until at the very least early in day 3, if not until it is over. 7 (?) really interesting High School guys. Even if only 3-4 sign, it can be another fun class. Baseball is a game of patience and long-term results. Oh and:
  14. Levonas. Another one I like, Projectable kid fun fastball shape. If the price of getting Levonas and Meccage was Burke I am absolutely fine with it. And who knows what we might get the next 2 days
  15. I'll refrain from judging the draft until at least tomorrow night but so far 1 meh, 1 I don't like, 1 I like
  16. That's more like it. Interesting guy, lets see what we can do with him
  17. From Fangraphs: Beefy first base-only power-hitting prospect with plus all-fields juice. Sandwiched a down sophomore season between stellar freshman and junior campaigns. Led Division-I in doubles and had a 31-game hit streak as a junior. Pretty good plate coverage; tends to hit the ball where it's pitched. Hits some epic golf shot pull-side homers, can also flatten his path and bang stuff on the outer half to the opposite field gap. Plate discipline is an issue. Poor secondary pitch recognition leads to some in-zone whiffs versus hittable pitches. Your profile has to be iron clad to project as an average first baseman, and Burke's chase rates are a body blow to his. His power and barrel feel should still allow him to play a big league role for as long as he can maintain his current level of athleticism, ranking in the 25-40 range when you line up all the first basemen.
