Is there anything baseball fans love doing more than overreact? Chill guys there's over 20 selections to go and we are saving money to make a lot of good picks a la Yoho, etc
From Fangraphs: Premier athlete with wide receiver's build at a strapping 6-foot-2. Plus-plus runner, reaches top speed in just a couple of strides. Downward cutting swing looks awkward a lot of the time, makes slash-and-dash contact in games. Has more power potential than that but his top hand needs to be more involved in his swing to get to it. Power/speed developmental prospect whose wheels are a fit in center field.
Saw a tweet the other day that said Ross would be back for the Aug 2-4 series, but that may not be accurate.
Hall was basically ready to return but idk what his timeline is after getting hit by that comebacker
No clue. I think Hall will be back first. If he struggles like he did, he can be optioned when Ross is reinstated. Like wiguy said, you also need a spot for Koenig. Maybe 1 or 2 guys can go on trades? An injury? (real or phantom). One of Peguero/Milner/Payamps/Wilson goes?
There is a real roster-crunch issue coming.
Yes he did! Hopefully he gets it going. I loved him last year but he has seriously struggled this season. I would hate to see him go but its the reality of baseball
No doubt. Hall will be back from the IL first though, I think. Ross is aiming for an Aug 2-ish return. Once Ross is back, I 100% agree on moving Hall to the pen
From the transactions page. No tweet to bid Dallas goodbye.
The guy cost us $1 and kept us in all the games he pitched. Not much else to ask for. Enjoy retirement.
Ross, Hall and Williams will all be back soon so this opens a spot for them.
We are 5-2 when using openers.
The Yelich thing I'm fine with. He needs full days off so that his back doesn't flare up. I prefer losing one game to losing Yelich for a month.
But generally speaking, Murphy does sometimes make weird decisions with PH
Hoskins' stat line for June is so bizarre. 133/250/467/717. He has gone 4-30 but 3 of those hits have been homers and the other one was a double. I know we wanted a power-hitting 1B but this is extreme
Koenig at 43 (majors and minors) after 59 last year, Paredes 37 after 54.. Theres a reason theyre the IL. We NEED innings.
I'd be fine if we traded for a Pablo Lopez or Griffin Canning I just want someone who will go 6+ 50% of the time to the tune of a 4.85 ERA
