  1. A lot of people on this board thought Wolf was going to be another Suppan. Some can't accept that Wolf always was better than Soup, and still is better than he ever was.
  2. I was kind of hoping Hoffman would get to be the record holder for a bit longer, but Rivera is a class act. Good for him and good for the Yankees.
  3. Knock Coleman around and get a win, Brewers. May as well continue the winning streak!
  4. Related to this thread, there's a lot of uproar today over Netflix's announcement that they're separating their DVD delivery service into a separate company to be called "Quickster."
  5. It has certainly been refreshing to not have much to complain about in terms of our starting pitchers. It's definitely been a night and day difference compared to the last two seasons. Gallardo and Greinke have been stellar, and even Chris Narveson has been quite good in the #5 spot (4.40 ERA and 1.37 WHIP this year).
  6. I'm not excited about Kotsay starting, but it's his first one in like two weeks. I'm pretty sure Hart has been terrible against Arroyo, too.
  7. Yeah, I agree!http://www.freeinfosociety.com/media/images/1570.jpg
  8. No. The impression I got was that the Brewers did try to shop around Prince this past off-season, and there wasn't really much interest. It was better keeping him and getting the comp picks this year than trading him for a mediocre return.
  9. I'm optimistic the Brewers will take this off day to get their heads back together, and go 8-4 the rest of the way. 2-1 vs CIN, 2-1 vs CHC, 1-2 vs FLA, and then sweep PIT.
  10. I actually had a hands free bluetooth module installed in my car. I'm sure I look funny driving around talking to no one in particular.
  11. Probably perfect time for an off day. I need a break from the Brewers, and it looks like they need a break from playing baseball. Hopefully Braun doesn't announce he wants to be traded or something to provide yet another "distraction."
  12. It doesn't bother me that he said it, but this seems like something that didn't need to come out right now. The whole team is not hitting right now, and on a cold streak as far as wins and losses. Wrong time to put this out to the fans, in my view. Most of us "die hards" knew there is basically a 0% chance he returns next year, but I'm sure a good portion of the more casual fans were holding out some hope. This isn't going to make Fielder look good in their view.
  13. Probably not, but they probably also have the most classless owner in MLB.
  14. Fielder -- IW McGehee, Double play Betencourt, pop out. Yeah, it's sadly comical how predictably that sequence went yesterday.
  15. Sports Illustrated did a poll of some MLB players to rank the "Meanest Players in MLB." Prince Fielder and Nyjer Morgan both made the list: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/multimedia/photo_gallery/1109/mlb.poll.meanest.player/content.1.html
  16. Yeah, that is just too funny. Wonder how long it's taking for the Cards fans to turn on him.
  17. Definitely sounds like an easier schedule than this year's, at least on the surface. I really wish they would drop the requirement of playing the Twins for two series a year and mix in some other teams, though.
  18. Yeah, I think this is much to do about nothing. I can understand he wants the save opportunities, but I don't get the sense he's really disgruntled. I'm sure he understands the situation. He's also making it clear he wants to sign somewhere as a closer next year, which is completely understandable.
  19. Seems like conflicting stories with in the same article: However, Fox Sports' Jon-Paul Morosi says the Marlins wanted to play younger players and Cameron wanted to spend more time with his children. "Not easy," manager Jack McKeon said when asked how Cameron took it. "Who would? But he knew he wasn't going to play much the rest of the year. We're going to go with some kids." He doesn't look to have much left in the tank at this point, but I could see him getting a spring training invite somewhere if he wants to keep playing next season.
  20. Great win last night. Just frustrating that if Braun and Fielder aren't hitting, the offense is basically completely impotent right now.
  21. I noticed Busch Stadium has closed captioning, but it's on the actual video board in the outfield.
  22. Funnily enough, I got to experience that very phenomenon in the bathroom of a Kwik Trip today. I guess the gentleman's conversation about airplane tickets really was that important.
  23. Nah, they're going to knock this bum around. No excuses, get a win tonight!
  24. I don't get why Hairston can't get some starts at shortstop if Kotsay could start repeatedly in the outfield earlier this season.
