I'm listening on the radio. Has kind of been difficult for me to catch the Brewers last couple days...they aren't on TV today, and yesterday they weren't on the usual radio stations (I was outside most of the evening, but caught them on KOOL 106.5 out of Whitewater).
Well, to win this series the Brewers need to win tonight, regardless of who is pitching tomorrow. Otherwise they can only hope for a series split, which doesn't accomplish much at this point.
Well, they need to start beating up on someone...they've struggled against the bad teams (Pirates, Cubs) lately, as well as the average teams (Reds, Rockies). Might as well start beating one of the best teams in baseball, right?
I was at the game last night, and had fun, despite the crummy outcome. Basically only one bad inning. People are forgetting that some of the blame lies with the offense. When you only score one run in 9 innings, you're not going to win a lot of games in the majors. At least Sheets looked _very_ solid.
He might be confused for like, 30 seconds, but I think he'll be OK without Bad Chad behind the plate. I will be there tonight, and hope to see a Brewers victory.
Not to hijack the thread...but it is annoying how often we hear "Bonds used steroids" when he has never been convicted of it. That may change down the line. Look, I don't like Bonds. I hope Ohka beans him tonight...but I think people need to be more careful with their words.
OK, Brewers, let's get a win and take the series. I'm glad Ohka is back. I think he's very underrated by many Brewers fans, and I think he could really help down the stretch here.
I don't know how many arms he had left in the bullpen, but couldn't he at least have used Capuano as a situational lefty for one batter or something? Maybe he was saving him for extra innings, I guess. Also, publicly saying he wasn't using signs was kind of like saying "yeah, I'm just letting these guys do whatever the heck they want." Didn't seem like a great strategy.
Jackson looks like Guy Smiley or something, in that pic. I'm not a huge fan of the guy, but Carlos Zambrano has to be one of the more entertaining pitchers in baseball to watch, just because he's so animated and fiery. Like others have said, I hope the Brewers unload on him early and shake him up.
