  1. I'd prefer either before the Brewers game (10:30-11ish) or afterwards (5-6ish), as I have some sweet seats to the Sunday game. Of course majority rules and if I'm the only one going to the game ignore me. Planned Attendees: Bball123h Brian the Automator Iron Chef Napalm Jimbo Nullbyte
  2. I don't remember any runners being on base when the pop up landed in the infield. I personally remember feeling dumb for not moving to cover first, as the batter didn't even really bother to run, and we may still have been able to throw him out. In fact, I'll guarantee that nobody was on when that pop-up happened.
  3. I was pretty dang proud to record the first swing-and-miss strikeout in Brewerfan.net history. I had a blast as well, and am looking forward to next week. And if anyone is interested, I would be down for a little practice this weekend. Specifically, on fielding bad throws to first, as I felt kinda rusty out there tonight.
  4. I'm so playing tonight. Just put me at the bottom of the batting order, as I will probably have all the batting power of a young schoolgirl.
  5. Feeling a ton better today, I'm finally going back to work!!! Before: 6'3'' 278 lbs After: 6'3'' 263 lbs Look for my new infomercial tonight at 2 am, sandwiched between girls gone wild and that pyramid scheme moneymaker guy. As for softball, since we play weekly, perhaps NFL type updates are more appropriate. I'm upgrading myself to questionable, but I'll be in attendance either way (barring more rain).
  6. Thanks for the well wishes, and yes I am injury prone (3 separate cases of a broken right thumb). I feel so horrible right now I wouldn't wish this on a yankees fan. If anyone has a home kit for tonsil removal, I'd love to borrow/buy it from you.
  7. No rehab (hopefully), but at this rate I should be down to about 180 pounds by next weeks game, making me much faster than previously exhibited. PS I almost made it through a half-container of pudding!!! Maybe I should try throwing normal food in the blender. A grilled cheese shake sounds fantastic right now.
  8. So I've been battling the most rediculous case of tonsillitis I've ever had for more than a week now. The great part about this is that I've lost 15 pounds in 4 days, since I cannot swallow solid foods. Unfortunately, barring any miracles between now and Thursday, I cannot see myself being functional enough to play. Thusly, I'm placing myself on the DL for this week's game. Should a miracle occur, I will definately post an update, but right now it seems pretty doubtful, given that the antibiotics/pain relievers I was prescribed have done nothing for me.
  9. Dunno if it counts but I am on some awsome painkillers right now, thanks to a touch of toncilitis. HOORAH!!!!!!!!! I wastched the whole game and only remember bits and pieces. Prince hit two??? Sweet. I would like to be listed as Probable for the May 18 softball game....
  10. If I stop coughing and cringing anytime I take a drink, I'm up for Saturday. But I feel like poo right now, so if there is, by some act of the diety of your choice, a game tonight, count me out.
  11. At 213 feet, I think we all need to learn how to hit lefty.
  12. Are metal spikes ok? I got to play in tennis shoes last night and wasn't so thrilled.
  13. Mike Hegans, Grand Slam, and Burghardts are all indoor.
  14. Also indoors is Mike Hegan's Field of Dreams in the New Berlin area IIRC, along with Burghardts Sporting goods on capital in Brookfield. The cages I miss most were at Willows on 27th street, but they sadly closed a couple years ago.
  15. Grand Slam USA, on Howell just north of grange River Falls, just east of 60th on Layton ave. Thats all I have, but any in the oak creek/racine area would be appreciated.
  16. Coolest part of the softball team: being listed in the lineup in a game thread. Looking forward to good times this year, and maybe even a win or two.
  17. I'll try and bring a straggler with me as well if its ok. It would be cool to have some scrimmage action...
  18. 2 questions: 1. What time? 2. Where? Are we going to try and find a grass infield, or are we practicing at the same field as last week?
  19. Bravo Jimbo!! Hopefully my numbers get better...
  20. There are errors in softball? I think my career stats may be a bit skewed.....
  21. I heard rumblings last sunday of a practice Saturday (today?) at 1 pm. Is this true, and if so, where is it? edit: Title
  22. Yea, I forgot about the whole park rules deal....
  23. Count me in for 2. Is there anything you would like me to bring (beer, soda, chips, etc.)?
  24. As my brewerfan.net gear is limited to my awesome softball jersey, I would most definately be interested in the package deal. Well, actually 2 of them (the missus would like this too).
  25. Practice today was definately a good time, and I'm all jacked up for the season to start. I currently work 12-8 on Saturday, but I think I may have a doctor's appointment around 1 pm or so.... See you guys Saturday!
