  1. If you could have found the field, you could have played, but we still got to play with 9. This team is really bad and probably won't win all year, so it wasn't a big deal. Thanks though!
  2. Game time is 8:15 at whitnall middle school (on 116th between Layton and Edgerton) should a member of the brewerfan.net team feel like joining us.
  3. Just noticed you listed high schools as well, and someone's gotta represent the inner city (or 61st and Morgan anyways). Milwaukee Hamilton.
  4. If I'm not the everyday first baseman, I'd like to throw my hat into the outfield party.
  5. Tonight definately felt good. It seemed like everyone was contributing, which is always nice. Mr. Fever, good luck in Cali, your pitching prowess will undoubtedly be missed. On that note, who is/are our new pitcher(s) (given that Jamie is out for a while)? I wouldn't mind practicing pitching with someone during the week if someone would like to learn the craft as well. I've done it before, and with a day or two of practice, I'm sure I'd be fine and avoid any walkfests.
  6. I figured the daisy chain was included. I want this lineup tonight, and daisy chain it for the rest of the season.
  7. I, too, like Valpo's lineup.
  8. I also, in my haste for softball glory, forgot that I have a graduation to attend/suffer through, so I am out. Hope you're ok Jamie.
  9. 22 years old from THE Cardinal Stritch University.
  10. I must say I'm flattered to be considered a power hitter, but I really dont think of myself as one. My SLG is pretty high right now, but I only have the one extra base hit, and the SLG is more a product of the high OBP I'm carrying right now. As far as the outfield, I think we just need to be more observant of positioning. Make sure we're deep for the power hitters and shallow for the weaker hitters (it will take a trip through the lineup to figure out who's who). In terms of the lineup, I like the idea of alternating singles/power, but we don't necessarially need to be S1/P1, S2/P2. It could be varied each game with the same principal in mind (the best singles/power hitter not necessiarially first).
  11. Count me in for Sunday, as practice never hurts. As far as where I fit on the team, I definately feel that 1st is a great fit. I'm a pretty big target, and I feel very comfortable there (I've played there basically since I was 10). That said, I would definately be willing to give left or right field a try if it will help the team. On the offensive side, I feel like I'm a really good singles hitter, with occasional bursts of power. I wish I could have gotten under the ball more today, as I really wanted to punish that rover guy, but to no avail. I'm a pretty competitive guy, and tonight was definately frustrating. But this team was very solid defensively, and pretty quick all the way around. I can't remember them making an error (other than when that bomb was hit over the rover). Most of our "hits" from games past were outs tonight, thanks to their 3b/ss.
  12. Tonight was fun as always. Thanks again to Nicole, whose bountiful feast undoubtedly distracted the enemy, knowing that those amazing burgers and BBQ were not for them. I hope my only hit went down as a double, and I was amazed with my plate patience tonight, as I think thats the first time I ever drew a walk in a softball game.
  13. I hate the Pirates so very, very much.
  14. Pencil me in for two. Huzzah picnic!!
  15. At least in my opinion, I think our team is more focused on having a good time, and if we happen to win, so be it. I know that's how I feel, and I didn't get the impression that Jim Rome's Softball Guy was on our squad. That said, it truly doesn't matter to me one way or another. The glove won't get me a raise in arbitration next year, but the bat will. At this pace, I'll have 10 RBIs!!!
  16. A in for B after 2 innings C for D after 3 E for F after 4 B for A after 5 D for C after 6 I think he meant something like this, where all the DH players still get their field time, but its not like were sending in a whole new team at once.
  17. The Cubs game is seriously out of control. 6-4 Braves in the top of the second, the Braves have 4 homers already.
  18. Way to get out of it Dana! Now let's go hit madson around some more.
  19. As much as I hate the fact that he looks like the neighbor guy in office space, I really wish Dana wouldn't have hit him with a pitch when the count was 0-2....
  20. Andruw Jones rounded third as the Cubs were slow to get the ball back in (they had no chance to get the first runner). The throw home was hurried, as they stalled to get it in to begin with, it sailed away, and he scored. Edit: Neifi Perez booted the throw in, and then sailed the throw.
  21. And the sac fly scores 2. 6-5 Atlanta.
  22. Count me in for Saturday at 11.
  23. This makes me sad. I was hoping to extend my consecutive walk-off loss streak to 5 tonight....
  24. It was just sunny and raining by my house, so I am totally confused as to tonight's game status.
  25. 10:30 would be better for me, if thats ok with everyone else. I can't pick the balls up, as I'm about to leave for ******on (T-Rats game), but I have 1 or 2 I can bring.
