    Just heard on MLB Network the Diamondbacks are the hottest team in baseball 17-5 the last 22 games and only 3 games behind the Dodgers now.

    There were sure some terrible calls by C.D. Buckner when Montas was pitching. Also, Brewers looked listless today, at least we have a day off tomorrow to recharge the batteries.

    This is just one of many reasons I like Murphy better than Counsell. Heck, I liked David Ross better than Counsell and his 217,902,000. payroll.

    They were so negative I actually thought they were they were Cub fans who just joined this thread. There still are a few who seem to post incessantly at the beginning of the game and disappear by the 3rd inning.

    I know Max Scherzer calls his own game but traditionally the catcher calls the game. Why that is I'm not 100% sure besides that the catcher is in there the whole game and the pitcher only a few innings.

    Is William Contreras’ Obsession With Fastballs Hurting The Brewers? I think it is but only to a small degree, in fact I was just talking with friends about how I thought Sanchez calls a better game than Contreras but I wasn't quite sure why or what to pin on Contreras. Weird you have an article about it a couple of games later. The other issue with calling a bad game are the results always get blamed on the pitcher which may only be 50% his fault and everyone knows by now how many pitchers we have gone threw this season. I also thought Contreras was catching so much at one point this summer, it was starting to affect his offensive production by just being burnt out.
