  1. I'm pretty sure he is in the starting lineup with the Angels today. That's why I was confused with your post.
  2. Hiura will be 28 in 3 weeks and 2-3 more years of AAA would put him at 30-31 years old.
  3. Also, Murphy could help him out by getting him out of the #4 cleanup spot and moving him in the order. Either up or down it doesn't matter to me, just get him out of the #4 power spot.
  4. He tries to hit for for power all the time but you won't have any batting average success at all with that approach. Pitchers will just pitch him low and outside and he either can't or won't won't adjust for that. He just needs to try hit a line drive the way high average hitters do every day of the week and forget blasting it over the fence every at bat unless its middle middle.
  5. I am amazed at how well our pitching is doing with the injured list as long as it is. Brewers’ Injuries Name Status Injury 2024 Stats Joey Ortiz 10 Day Injury List Neck .269 / .373 / .444, 7, 28 Gary Sánchez 10 Day Injury List Calf .218 / .293 / .401, 7, 21 Oliver Dunn 10 Day Injury List Back .221 / .282 / .316, 1, 7 Jared Koenig 15 Day Injury List Forearm 7-1, 1.66 ERA, 8.5 K/9 Enoli Paredes 15 Day Injury List Forearm 1-0, 1.08 ERA, 6.5 K/9 Joe Ross 15 Day Injury List Back 2-4, 4.50 ERA, 7.5 K/9 J.B. Bukauskas 60 Day Injury List Lat 0-0, 1.50 ERA, 9.0 K/9 Robert Gasser 60 Day Injury List Flexor 2-0, 2.57 ERA, 5.1 K/9 D.L. Hall 60 Day Injury List Knee 0-1, 7.71 ERA, 7.2 K/9 Wade Miley 60 Day Injury List Elbow 0-1, 6.43 ERA, 2.6 K/9 Brandon Woodruff 60 Day Injury List Elbow – Devin Williams 60 Day Injury List Back –
  6. Murphy said it best. "We threw up a stinker tonight."
  7. I will give Mitchell a little slack because this is like his spring training right now. But by August he better have it together.
  8. I think Detroit would probably want more than one of the 3 you have listed. Here's the skeleton of a trade that could work: One of the Brewers' young, left-handed hitters in the outfield (Sal Frelick or Garrett Mitchell), or Tyler Black
  9. The #'s he has been putting up this year??? With nine at bats??? LMAO, that is like 2 games.
  10. Your twisting my words just like a politician. Who would you bat 4th if the first 3 hitters are; 1) Turang 2) Contreras 3) Yelich 4) ??? Fill in the blank.
  11. “Miscellaneous News” Hiura in 2022 hit .226 Adamas Avg now is .234 plus a SS. Shortstop is the most valuable defensive positions in baseball.
  12. Michael Lorenzen would be a great add for the Brewers if Texas doesn't want something crazy for him.
  13. E-Mail Murphy and ask him. That is not what we were discussing.
  14. Keston Huira's first Major League hit since 2022 What a loose way to compare stats.
  15. We ended up 3-4 road trip and we should have been 4-3 but still have a 5 game lead in the division so it was acceptable as far as I'm concerned.
  16. Great post, I agree 100%. With just coming back you have to see where he is first. He definitely will be a little rusty. Baby steps after an injury is the norm.
  17. A good problem to have IMHO.
  18. We have to wait and see, setup man, closer, because Megill/Williams Combo. Is way better than using Payamps or Peguero as the setup man for Megill as we do it now.
  19. With Yelich's past back problems he might consider it after today's flub, plus his arm is way below MLB outfield average. But I have to say the Dodgers are about the strongest team in the MLB and we at least hung with them.
  20. Only Boston and Oakland have gotten screwed more than the Brewers so far this year. That is just the MLB's small market bias.
  21. An irrational hate for him is not true. He had a 41.7% strike out rate, Joey Wiemer wasn't even that bad and Joey Weimer was bad. Standup guy I agree with, he was a great humble guy that never caused problems at all. He just simply couldn't hit. Sadly, being a "good egg" isn't going to drive in runs.
  22. He did ok in my opinion because the Dodgers are probably the best team in baseball. Number 1. 1) Dodgers (previously: 2). Ten days in, and Mookie Betts leads baseball in essentially every major statistical category: Hits, runs, home runs … even walks. It’s that last one that’s particularly impressive, all told, considering the guy who is hitting behind him in that lineup: It’s not like there’s any particular advantage to pitching around Betts. Speaking of Shohei Ohtani, he’s “only” putting up a .944 OPS, which would have been top 25 in baseball last year but currently puts him only third on his own team.
