    Frelick has been terrible lately, he swung and hit a pitch a foot out of the strike zone. No plate discipline at all.

    All I can say is.... better all this happened before the trade deadline. Because we now know for sure we need a minimum of one more quality pitcher.

    Skubal can be a free agent after the 2026 season. And if he stays healthy and keeps pitching great, he's going to make gobs of money.     We will see... but in the article it said, "As a heavy fly ball pitcher, he has allowed an alarming 2.12 home runs per nine innings." I'm sure that can be corrected by the types of pitches thrown and location. He looks old for being only 29.

    I agree also Henderson seems to be developing/improving steadily, to much upside with Henderson.

    Sorry then, I got crap from a whole bunch of people when I said good riddance to CC. I disliked about 3/4 of his choices especially his reliever choices, I apologize.

    Another fun fact: Cubs have won only 11 of there last 30 games. LOL Cubs wish they had David Ross back now. Maybe Counsell should go on dancing with the stars up against Ross. Ross would beat him there also.

    I agree 100% but I think we need one more quality arm in my opinion, way more than in the hitting department, that would come second.. Gasser to be out 4 weeks, Jacob Junis 2 more weeks, Joe Ross 2 more weeks, D.L. Hall 2 more weeks, Devin Williams 8 more weeks, J.B. Bukauskas 10 more days. We are a MASH unit for at least 2 more weeks unless pick up someone plus Miley out Woodruff out. Also, who is to say when these guys come back they will be the same as before they left.

    I agree 100% and Now that the Cubs lost to the Reds again tonight they may be sellers at the trade deadline being only 1 1/2 games above the last place Pirates.

    The Cubs may be sellers now also after another loss today to Cinn today. I'm not joking either, they are 1 1/2 games out of last place now. Go Craigers!

    Pittsburg beat the Cubs today 8-4. Now a below .500 team 31-32 Go Craig Go!!!!

    On todays date last year we were 34-29. This year we are 36-26 which would be a 2 1/2 game lead over last year.

    I kind of thought so also but it seems like we may be in talks with the White Sox. Crochet was pretty darn good when we faced him.
